  1. You have so many projects. I love to see how you progress. Hooray for Bill and Caesar. I am really looking forward to the coop being finished. You should get a spread in a gardening magazine when it's done. Exciting times in 2023.

  2. Happy New Year! You have made so many changes over the last year to you new property. 2023 will bring more changes as you implement your 5 year plan. I can’t imagine all the decisions you had to make when you realized how many slopes you had to deal with. What I can say is that it looks amazing!

  3. unless I missed it, you had indicated that you would be putting out a video on putting the garden to sleep as winter approaches for those of us that live in such a climate. Did you ever do that or did I just miss it?

  4. Everything is starting to gone together nicely.
One has to make use of the cooler months. Same here in Texas.
Just a thought. Wouldn’t it look nicer and be less slippery, if you put gravel in between the vegetable beds, instead of straw?

  5. Great progress. Love the chickens. Wondering about the wide path and steps, have you considered adding a ramp on one side of the steps for wheel burrows and such? Or incorporating some easy method to convert stairs to ramps if needed? I love seeing all your ideas and projects.

  6. Don't be too eager to plant baby fruit trees you order from the nursery, even though it is the dormant season. I speak from experience and if you have anything less than optimal conditions, there is a 50% chance they will not take hold and thrive. Half of mine died the last time I tried to plant right after they arrived. It is better to put them in a gallon ( or larger) container and nurse them thru the first year and THEN plant them when they have not had to endure stressful shipping etc.

  7. So glad to see your progress – looking forward to Homesteading videos with details. Happy New Year to you and your family.

  8. I love seeing the new crops coming. Im in Minnesota so it will be a while before I can even start sees. The tomatoes look so good!
