  1. What do you think about queen and mule palm? I am germinating seeds now. I am amazed you dont have them in your garden. Congrants for ten years đŸ‘đŸ»

  2. Greatly to my surprise, the small (un-trunked) Dicksonia squarrosa that I planted out 3 years ago, seems to have got through our week of sub-zero temperatures and a light covering of snow. The fronds are not even marked. It’s currently sitting in water (which it likes) as there has been so much rain I have a small, temporary stream running through my Lady Fern bed that I planted it on the edge of.
Antartica and fibrosa also looking as good.

  3. A word of warning re the kids stuff, as it’s something I have had a problem with.
I would advise not getting two excited about using the space you will gain as the children outgrow the trampoline, swings etc. Children have a habit of producing children if their own and I certainly found (and still find) lots of pressure from their grandmother to ensure there is plenty of space for the grandchildren’s playing.
They also love using “Grandad’s garden” for things like Easter egg hunts, or NERF wars when all the cousins (1 to 12 in age in my case) are round, and trying to get them to keep footballs on the ground is impossible!
    Good luck.

  4. Can you show us your overwintering plants .gingers and cannas.
I don't know how sick they are meant to look in january

  5. You're not going to abandon tender plants altogether tho are you!? I enjoy those videos too!

  6. Similar to you I’ll be adding more hardier plants as I’ve lost a few more tender plants this winter. I’ll also be trying to grow my own chamaedorea radicalis seeds, any advice would be greatly appreciated 😊
