I love everything about this off grid life we’ve chosen, except how far we are from emergency services. This week was a rough one. Joe had to rush me to the ER in the middle of the night. This emergency totally highjacked what was supposed to be a “supply run” vlog. But such is life right? Thanks for joining us for another video. As we head into 2023…I’m hopeful for the new year to come! Cheers…

    I hope you're feeling better and sorry you had to go through that during the holidays and your husband's birthday. I lived remotely with an hour ride to the hospital as well and it makes you think about your activities a bit differently. You made it through it though! and have a Happy New Year!

    So glad you are ok and things are getting better! I grew up here and we used to have to drive to Anchorage because we only had a small hospital in Palmer. We too are so thankful for the big hospital they have here now. If you ever need anything we aren’t too far from you! Welcome to Alaska.

    Oh my goodness Tina! I hope you are feeling much better! Tell Joe he's a good man! Having a catheter removed is very painful, and the 🔥 burning, to me, was worse than the actual pain! Maybe the MD can tell you something to keep on hand since you live so far away! As far as the trolls/complainers go, goodbye! 👋 👋 I pray you all have a happy, blessed 2023!     Well after I wrote you the post about saving the catheter, you told us what the bacteria was and I take it back throw it away, Drink lots of water.

    I use to get utis all the time when I was in my 20’s. An elderly women told me to take 1 teaspoon of cream of tarter to 8 oz of water and drink it 3 times a day. Worked for me. Being in a remote area you make want to try it and keep cream of tarter on hand.

    First of all, I want to say happy birthday Joe 🎂🥂🍾!!! Second sweet Tina, I want to tell you to be happy with your little family and enjoy your guys'self!!! Tell the people that have rude comments about your channel, to P** off!!! Be happy with your sweet family, and you guys love for each other in your life. Just to make a suggestion, is totally up to you what you do with your life. There are cranberry powder pills that you can take to help fight getting UTIs, also they have UTI tests that you can test at home that you can keep on hand. There are over-the-counter pills that if you do have a UTI you can start taking them before you go and get an antibiotic by a doctor. If you feel comfortable doing this you can buy them at Walmart, and have them on hand just in case you need them so far away from the hospital or a doctor. So sweetheart Tina live your life be happy, and I hope your family has a wonderful 2023!!!

    I went through what you had two years ago on Christmas Eve. Your story I related to so much. I had a bladder infection before so I knew it was not going to get better without antibiotics. We live in a small town in California foothills. The hospital was only 15 min. away (Thank God!). So on Christmas Eve I had my husband take me and it took a while for the pain to stop but I got the help I needed. I will put in a prayer for you. Anyone who doesn't want to hear you talk about real life then get lost!! I love watching you, Joe and Parker living life. I am new here and I'm hooked. Sending love and prayers your way to you and the family.

    Tina, I am so sorry that happened to you. I had the same issue at work one day. I grew up with bladder infections, fever and all. I understand the pain you endured. I was scared of you removing the catheter too early. You sure look pretty for someone feeling so bad. You think your table is a mess! Girl, that's nothing!! I wonder if you came in contact with the bacteria while sledding. Who knows right. Good to see you and the family again and glad you had a nice Christmas. Get some rest. See you soon.

    I’m so sorry you’ve been suffering with this. My daughter and I have chronic problems. I’m “older”, my daughter is your age. If you have problems again, please try AZO Urinary Pain Relief, Maximum Strength. It’s very inexpensive, and it’s effective. It will calm your pain within 30 minutes. It’s readily available at Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, Amazon, grocery stores. My daughter and I always keep it in our medicine cabinets. It’s a lifesaver. For daily maintenance we also take AZO Cranberry Urinary Tract Health. I hope this helps. I love and enjoy your vlogs so very much. Thank you for sharing your lives with us.     Being so far from medical help, please think "Safety" at all times. Especially for Joe when operating a chainsaw. He really should be wearing chaps and eye protection.

    Ahh I felt your pain, I’ve had a couple UTIs and the second one was the worst! I’ve had 1 yeast infection too and gosh that was worst than the UTI. Anyways, Happy new year!!!

    My dad had an accident early spring this year. He had his thumb caught in a drill rig and ripped it out when the jaws closed. He used his other hand to use as a tourniquet, and his co-worker drove him to the hospital 45 minutes away from the drill rig, which was in the boonies of Michigan.
