I always see videos on landscaping jobs and no one ever discusses profit and expenses…well here you go. 10% profit when the national average is 3%. When doing the overhead calculation make sure you have office rent, gas, office staff salaries, budget for when mistakes happen and most importantly what would you pay someone to replace you. Most of you pay yourselves nothing or even worse live off the business.

too much profit margins men, you should get 2% comision only XD
Having a credit card isn’t the key. The key is to get an open account at places with materials, finding 2-3 places that will open a monthly account.
For my company 10% would be a disaster. I would retire today.
We do 25% on pavers ,46% everything else.
Great video! Love the narration over time lapse style.
I really enjoyed the tough love approach you took in this video. Your landscaping job in this video looks beautiful. And I've been following your videos for years. I was wondering if you could do a compilation video showing how your process has evolved over time. It would be interesting to see how you've grown from struggling with using equipment to nearly achieving landscaping mastery.

Do you include work comp and Pay roll tax in your payroll? It’s amazing how many younger contractors do not
Cost per hour for my guys is 100 an hour
Electrical contractor
Even in bay area you don't pay these absurd prices which Tigran quotes. His prices are at least 20-30% higher. I am not sure if this is to get video views but you can easily find better pricing with similar quality in bay area.
Been watching couple years. Your profits seem to be shrinking. You might be doing less work but tight profits and loosing grip. Boom. It's how buisness fail.
Bro I love your videos and this one went strait to the heart. I’ll be taking my general b license exam in January and I’m ready! I’m here in LA County. Just wanted to know if you could be my mentor? I have tons of questions and I’d love to here your advice, even if it’s just through YouTube comments
I am 20yrs old and have created a large tree installation business in central Florida. I have worked enough jobs to pay for all of the heavy equipment, trailers, trucks ect. I have all of my digital business pages set up. My main question is, how do I attract more customers to get in contact with me? I do google, Facebook and other types of business promotions/ads but I would love to get even more business. Does anyone have any suggestions?
T you are a real one keep going.
Is it really worth the hassle, worry, and aggravation to own, operate, and run a business? I mean $14K is nothing to laugh at but net profit from a $140K job seems like a very low profit margin. Not because of anything you did, but because of the costs associated with operating this type and size of business. It just amazes me how much the government gets to take from you when they do NONE of the work! Discouraging when more of that $140K gets spent on operations than put into your pocket.
Great job T 🐐 and Applewood 👍🏽 I watch your videos all the time and everything you say makes sense most won’t. I am 33 and i do feel embarrassed not successful. I do jobs like you but not at your level. I learn a lot watching your videos 👍🏽 thanks
Lol the man runs like 2-3 of these projects at a time. He pays for everything he needs in his life, and ends up with 10% of pure profit. Then there’s the goat gang money.
I agree! I am still pissed that I was stupid and went 4yrs to college for a horticulture degree. It was a total waste of time & money when I was gonna open my own business anyway. Keep up the great work!
Looks great other than the palm trees that make zero sense with the existing redwoods and 🍁.

What you mean? Doing it on your own is how you learn. Watching and doing. That's how you learn.
wait…wait…WHAT?! Bruh….. you made 14K but over the 48 days it took you guys to be there brings your personal pay out to $312.00 a day, at that rate you'd make 113k a year…🤣You spent way to much time around Grant Cardone, your all show and no go. My one man, one truck powerwash company pulls in $800 a day. You have no business offering coaching 🤣
I always wondered why your channel never blew up but the more I watched the more I realized your spewing some shit and nobody's buying…
For quoting shit on your ass all day and not actually helping the crew $312 is good, but not "sign up to my class so I can show you how" good.
Ur cooking the books based on a accountant which u are not
T – who were some of your mentors in life and business?
Keep up the great work!
I'm preparing to become a Physician Assistant and your videos won't do much for me in the long run. But my dude, you're dropping A LOT of life gems in all of these videos. Just found you about an hour ago and already steamrolled through 5 videos just soaking up the game of life you're giving out. When I get to where I'm trying to go in life your crew will definitely get a call from me.
I want to be a plant expert.
Lol T is hilarious 😂
Brutallly nice, how the guys cut these curved edges!
Just reading the comments here and I feel that some people don’t have a clue
When selling the job you have a delicate decision to make regards the clients budget … if you add a certain percentage on top of your costs every time you could fast end up out of work and when that happens your money problems magnify quickly
If he didn’t have a YouTube channel and the goat gang funding him
He would be out of business first year, he has no idea what he talking about. 10 % come on everyone. What a joke. You can stay in bed and break even
Please don’t listen to this GC wannabe
How come you didn’t put down a concrete footing underneath the eldorado stone boxes for the Bbq? I was told by my contractor is was mandatory and the manufacturer told me it wasn’t as long as it was 1” above grade. Thoughts?
I’m 39 and watching this lol. However, I’m already kinda baller from my 20 years in the landscape business 😆👌🏻. Another gorgeous build my man. 🌱🍃
10% for a company doing over 100million+ annually is ok. You definitely are doing lota shit wrong. Why would someone take advice from you when you clearly need business education. Stop following your uncle G and follow real men like Patrick bet David.
Now let’s assume if you came back for a repair/. Profits gone buddy. You shouldn’t be chasing that stupid goat gang shit and start doing real business shit yourself.
Not sorry at all for you. Tough love. Wish you the best brotha
❤❤
Very good content
If the job got done in 14 days. That's 1,000 a day. If it was done in 28 days. About 500 a day all profit not to bad
Sure. 14k and not touching a shovel. Dah. I love working. In fact. I need to. It’s just who I am. But I don’t ever complain when I make “passive” income!!! Good job bro. I love your story. Been encouraged. Keep it up T
Despite the economic downturn,I'm so happy 😊. I have been earning $60,200 returns from my $7,000 investment every 13days.
Amazing video and thank you for breaking it down!! Despite the economic downturn, I'm so happy 😊I have been earning $ 60,000 returns from my $9,000 investment every 21days.
