Interesting to note that you say "avoid overhead watering." I always swore by overhead watering (always after 7.00pm so that plants & soil can cool down & recover overnight) for years & never had any issues (except for this year getting hammered with Septoria), whether it be just normal water, or even your LG & EB in a hose on bottle as a foiliar watering (as we know plants absorb so much faster this way than ground watering) I was always under the impression that early morning watering in summer would do more harm than good, with moisture remaining on the leaves in direct sunlight & the soil steaming during the heat off the day?
I would love to get some feedback on this &/or get your thoughts on this.
my cucumbers have been hammered by orange lady beetles and striped caterpillars that are eating the leaves and including my cucamelon plants…. any suggestions on how to keep the leaves from getting eaten please.

Like the shirt ๐You could hang a trellis on the side of your planter box for your trailing pumpkin ๐
