Also, mine are in Texas sun, get LOTS of water, and I now have leaves about 37 inches long and 30 inches wide. These are only the 5th and 6th leaves. So some of what they say in this video is not completely accurate. They do need LOTS of water tho.
I love your video on elephant ears, and am glad that you mentioned their importance as a food crop! Just so you know, here in Florida they do flower with inflorescences much like peace lilies. They smell kinda sweet too!
jcevr, she didn't mention anything about watering. But….I do agree they do need lots of water.
She didn't mention there is different kinds one is edible and one is not and I'm not talking about taro either.

My elephant Ears are grown in Full Sun with daily watering and there Huge!! 72 inches by 89 inches They grow this big in a month and a half. Hers look pretty small to be showing in the fall! They should be bigger than her lol

Your elephant ears dont look too good.
They do have a beautiful flower, and you can actually use the seed's to grow new plants. They do like sun but if you have them next to a tin fence they will die off,so best to put up a bamboo screening on the fence if you can, been growing these beautiful plants for over 20 yrs still not a expert but have just started to do some seeds which they will undercover as winter will be here in July 🇦🇺and the frost will harm them,it won't kill them, they eventually do bounce back in warmer temperatures.
I'm growing mine in a pot. Every 4th leaf it seems turns yellow and dies. Is this a lack of water?
