Now we are in the depths of winter, and the garden is fast asleep for a couple of months, I thought it would be very lovely to have a look back over the past year or so at how the garden looked, and a reminder of what is waiting for us all, just around the corner.

I hope you’ve all had a wonderful Christmas 🎄🎄🎄 and now it’s that time of year when we start thinking about saying goodbye to 2022 and looking forward to everything that 2023 will bring. And that’s particularly true I think for our gardens. I must admit it’s nice to have a rest from gardening at the moment and, apart from tidying up and cutting back when it’s not too cold, I won’t be doing much outside for a couple of months now. So in the meantime, I thought what better time to go through my phone and delete all my old video footage and make one montage of everything, to make room for some new videos. I hope you enjoy this look back on all the changes since September 2021. I wish you all a very very Happy New Year and I’ll see you sometime soon. Thank you for all your support this year, and as much as I love gardening, I think all our chats here in the comment section have been my favourite thing of all. You have all been such wonderful friends and you mean the world to me. Take care everyone 💕
I enjoyed the video and music it’s lovely. Looking forward to another gardening year. Happy new year gardening buddy 😍🥳🥂
Hope youand Richard had a lovely Christmas 🙂 have a wonderful new year and I cannot wait to see what 2023 will bring us 🙂 gorgeous video Janette you should be so proud of yourself xx
I love Strauss music but most of all this one had me dancing around the room 💃 loved looking back at your beautiful garden 😘😘
Hello Janette
Gosh…that montage was beautiful. All the plants put on a lovely show. I can see why you love alliums so much. Not something i can grow. Why i don't know. Your colourful pots look superb nestled amongst the plants. It's nice to see what does come through the winter too. (What a horrific shock for the USA…minus 42) Can't predict the weather of course but we have had so much rain so far the experts say even if the summer temperatures are sweltering again, there won't be a water shortage imposed. We'll see. Everything is so peaceful at this time of year. Love to Richard, lottie, lucy and all the family🎄🐧🎄🐧💝
Hi Janette, what a fabulous video you’ve put together. It certainly heartened my soul. I agree it’s nice to have a break from gardening during the cold months but spring is just around the corner! Wishing you and Richard a healthy and happy New Year 😊. X
How Delightful! Just to Look Back! but it will be so again.Just be Patient.Spring will be Here Again!
A lovely round-up Janette and I loved the Blue Danube in the background, a perfect choice. Advance Happy New Year 🍾
Oh Janette … That was fun to see all of the changes that you have made …. it is always a work in progress and the reason that we all get out there and do it … somehow it always turns out more beautiful as yours has ….. I think maybe that I have ask you before … what is the purple flowers that are next to your fabulously green grass …..??? …. Happy New Year ….. !!!!! ….Hugs
We're impressed, you've created a lovely garden… thanks for sharing
What a wonderful and timely reminder! I’ve been feeling down about my garden this year and even more so right now. Spring is around the corner and I must use this down time wisely! Thank you, Janette, for your sharing your lovely garden with us!💖
Happy New Year Janette, Richard and doggies! Nice to see you and the garden this time of year. Mine is covered in a blanket of snow. I had plans to expand my island bed by putting down cardboard before the snow flew, but didn't get around to it. Hopefully I will do that in early Spring. More space for plants is always a good thing, right? Anyway, sending love and best wishes to you from here in cold, cold Ohio! PS – great choice of music. I always have loved that piece.
This has been so lovely to watch and listen to! Yes, we need to remember to have hope for new and wonderful things to come. Hope your New Year will be fresh and promising of joyful tomorrow s for you all!❤

I hope you both had a wonderful Christmas. It was lovely to see your garden in all its guises. So much colour for so much of the year, and all that colour in the ground waiting to pop up and say Hello 👍😁. Good to take a break as you say, but l'm beginning to miss the activity of pottering, planning and moving stuff around to meet my vision! Ha! Ha! Looking forward to seeing you in your garden, next year 🍾🍷Happy New Year both 😁👍🍾🍷
Your garden is BEAUTIFUL!!! Looking forward to Spring!! 😊🌷🌱
I Love your garden so much…so beautiful and joyful 🙂
Hello my friend . Is incredible to see how the garden transformed as the season progresses, and that’s exactly how we learn . To see what works , and how it looks as the season changes . Ready for 2023 videos 😊
I know we are all looking forward to warmer weather so that we can enjoy our gardens. Thank you for a fun year watching you & Richard & looking forward to next year! ❤
Great idea, this kind of reflection will keep us warm during the winter. What a great year your yard had.
Hope you both had a lovely restful christmas Janette. Nice to look back on the changes in the garden over the year. We can all now look forward to our spring gardens and some colour. Have to admit though im enjoying the rest. The garden still looks lovely even in winter. Sending best wishes to you both for a happy and healthy 2023. 😊x
I really enjoyed this video. The look back was so beautiful and your choice of music was stellar. My whole life I have loved The Blue Danube. Great job, thank you for sharing. From my heart I wish y’all have a very Happy New Year and I hope you had a wonderful Christmas.
Have a very happy entrance into 2023….the first few shots of the video with the Daffs and the tulips really is a reminder that spring is now that far off. My spring bulbs are beginning to push through the soil which gives the uncontrollable urge to walk by each area every single day to see how much they are progressing!
You are an artist and an inspiration!! Spring will soon be here. 😊😍
Just what I needed after that very cold storm over Christmas 22 below zero wind chills highs of 0 to 5 degrees and I do like winter but wow that was challenging great news we are back to normal temps and this wonderful video of your just made me smile and remember the joy of winter to dream and know that spring will come !!!! That blue plant edging what was that do that again and if it grows in zone 6 i need that☺️. Loved this going into the New Year 🎉

Fabulous garden it looks amazing!! Great video loved it some great ideas to copy for my garden😀 what is the name of the border of blue flowers please at 3.37 on the video?
Hi Janette. That was refreshing 😀, and I really enjoyed the music you chose. It is nice to have a rest from the garden, I have to agree with you. I'm already planning, though, and have bought some seeds. I've also made a wish list on amazon for bird bath, lanterns and obelisk. Can't stop myself 🤪. I hope you both had a merry Christmas 💛. I did, despite coming down with covid and losing taste and smell. I mean fancy losing taste and smell at Christmas for heavens sake!!!! Fancy getting covid after being vaccinated 4 times…….at Christmas!!!!! Still had fun, though 🫠. I'm so excited already about going back to the light and seeing all of those lovely colours again. Already, the soil is erupting in the pots where I've put bulbs. Wishing you both a very happy new year 🎉 😊
Beautiful, all the best for 2023. ❤
