If not him, then Sean Payton.
Wilson has got to forfeit that office and get back into the locker room with the team, Peter and Gannon are right. What concerns me is why Wilson doesnt see that himself, to make that move on his own?
You must keep Russ. A good coach (strong personality, quality OC) will turn him around quickly. That team is ready to win. Defense is solid. Special teams might need a bit of work. But draft a WR and another TE. Good to go.
They won't get Payton because the compensation to NO is too much. Harbaugh is not going to Denver or Indy. His wife wants to go back to CA. So, he might wait for the Chargers job. But Demeco Ryans or Byron Leftwich would be good hires for Indy or Denver. Great city, great fan base.
👆 – MY HOT PHOTO HERE 😘✅v💥
High school team could've beat the Broncos.
But Hackett is a football savant Peter, you insisted this was true like 3 months ago
either sean payon or dan quinn will be the net headcoach for the denver broncos is not russ is fucking hackett running an outdated west coast system. The nfl has now evolve more into a spread shot gun temple now a days
It’s going to be Frank Reich.
I think that broncos will go jim harbaugh/ sean payton and colts will go jim caldwell
Great job, Miles.
It's going to be Dan Quinn.
I think the Colts are in a much better position than the Broncos. Denver gave up all those picks and gave Russell Wilson a huge guaranteed contract but STILL might not have a quarterback. Indy might not have a quarterback but they don’t owe anyone much after this season and they should have a high draft choice to get one. So if I were a coach and I was offered both the Denver and Indy jobs I’d take the Colts gig. Easy decision.
Great interview with Mr Zagaris, like reading the best history book of the NFL ever.
Peter King should allow the guest to talk more, don't you think?
Denver needs to bite the bullet and outright cut Wilson. The guy is horrid.
I think saying the Denver job is the worst coaching job in the league is way exaggerated! I mean it is still a historically elite organization, with a large great fan base, in a great city, with the by far the richest ownership in the league!
He might be on the lower end of the list, but Pittman is definitely a #1. You can't blame him when your QB and oline don't even give you a chance to produce. He was a top 15-20 receiver with Wentz of all people.
Love the history of the NFL Here in England in the 90's all we had was NFL film video's on VHS tapes.
Obviously Throwing Money at INEPT QB'S like Wilson, and Murray and Ryan Have CAUSED Major NFL Teams temporary Failure, This can be solved in 3 to 4 YRS – Maybe unless you do it Again. How About REAL Coaching for a Change. How about Teaching them to get 5 yds for a First Down when you need 4. How about a Respectable offensive Line, how About Teaching them to Move around & then Run for 7 YDS and a First Down, How about receivers running correct Routs. How about Scouting Correctly in College.
IMAGINE in 2022, there being 12 Respectable QB'S out of 32 Teams, And we are Talking Billionaires. Actually Teaching the Backups More Football these days May be more intelligent than Starting over in the Draft. How about Stopping giving out 250 Million Dollar Contracts. Seriously Stupid. There are NO Shortcuts to Teaching.
Cut the cord Denver. The fact that Russell Wilson has yet to show any embarrassment or taken responsibility for his dog crap play means that 2023 will be even a worse season.
I’ve been a Broncos fan my whole life. I love this team and always will. I can’t fault the decision to bring Russ in. Unfortunately it’s been a bust (congrats seahawk fans better do something with those picks) and in my opinion we just need to get a coach that will help with a rebuild and creating a culture of toughness and grit. Implode everything now. Even with no picks or cap just eat and restart. Let some vets go for something and then build from the ground up
cut him now. The Locker room has judged him.
They will never play hard for Wilson.
When you have a black quarterback bigger than you, you tend to try to have the team against him! It did not happen to Aron Rogers but because is a black QB like Russ! Double standards !!
How come Rogers can fire a coach and it is ok but Russ cannot!
Russ has the same super-bowl as Rogers!
double standard, Roger’s fired Mike McCarthy and nobody complained!
No one wants to see the walmarts win, rather to be strangled in front of their families and fed to pigs. Then the pigs to be fed to their friends.
Merry Christmas!
Hackett clearly wasn't the man for the job for any number of reasons. However, the oft-cited 64 yard FG attempt at the end of his first game isn't one of them. McManus had the distance, and it probably was their best chance at that point, even if low percentage. Wilson's subsequent play this season shows that.
9,000 to nothing…lol…that was good
Mr. Unlimited, turns out….. kinda limited. He needs coached well.
@ Peterking you a joke
The Denver Broncos coaching job? You would have to be in an insane asylum and highly medicated on Mescaline to take that coaching job. That is a lousy job and you've got what looks to be a shot quarterback in Russell Wilson and you're stuck with him for a minimum of 3 years and topping this whole thing off with no draft picks and you're in the division with the Kansas City Chiefs who has won the AFC West 7 straight years with the best coach in the West being Andy Reid and not to mention Patrick Mahomes. The Los Angeles chargers has a young upcoming quarterback in Justin Herbert as well. 7 straight years no playoffs to go along with 6 straight losing seasons and they've gotten worse. Why would any coach want this bound to fail job? You would have better luck trying to cross the Pacific Ocean in a life jacket!
I'm not sure why Stafford (2 concussions, spinal chord) and Tua (3 concussions, various injuries) can even consider returning. They've already made millions and should be set for life. The risk to their health is just too great. Then again, I've never understood athletes anyway.
To be honest this situation is a lot like the Ukraine war. You can throw money at it, but you will never pull off a true win.
Im not sure how this works but would the cap go away for Russ if he retires,if so would the walmart money offer for him to just call it quits for a bit to save the broncos
Thank our Father in Heaven above that someone understands that Sean Peyton would NEVER go to Denver!!! And thank you guys for pointing that out to the media morons that have no clue what means!!
I disagree about the Russel Wilson contract…if Russel and Denver come to terms and re-negotiate it. Russel cares, he's not going to be like FU pay me. They can ask him for mercy and cut the difference.
TUA is done, he has no idea how to properly fall, there is severe brain damage going on there. Tua falls like a tree, he has no concept of twist and crumple, he is luke a breaching humbback whale, it's like he is trying to jump up and slam down deliberately. He is a on field fatality waiting to happen.
Why on earth would Harbaugh leave now. Back to back playoffs to go deal with irsay. Who may fire him randomly during the season
Russell wilson has bulked up 20 pounds I dont know why he needs to get back to his original weight and start moving again. If he cant run he is finished
Just make him the third string QB and tell him it’s not changing
Make him quit and walk away
I’m so sick of teams just quitting in then 4th quarter and the buccaneers ending up winning
I think Kevin Stefanski would be lucky to be fired and get out of Cleveland. I think he’d be a good fit for Indianapolis. I can’t imagine what Denver will do for a new coach. It might wind up being a very unorthodox search for a coach. Who would want to enter that currently toxic situation?
If the Waldons wrote a blank check to Jim Harbaugh he could fix Wilson. Look what he did with Alex Smith and Kaepernick. Alex Smith was a bust before Harbaugh arrived and in Kaps first year starting went to a Superbowl. Harbaugh would build the offensive line and play bully ball. This would give Russ balance plus protect him as a passer.
Seattle needs to build a statue of Russ. He gave them the glory days early in his career, and now he's going to give them back to back to back top 5 picks.
