Big thanks to my husband for removing the two rose stumps so I can plant more. I used to have plenty of vertical element and shrubberies on this side of the yard. Two climbing roses, a trumpet vine, a big tall grass and a lace cap hydrangea. Most were removed since they have gotten to big. It was quite a learning experience for me. The roses were older variety that were very prone to diseases. This Japanese Holly should fit in fine in my limited space providing vertical element and winter interest.
