I have seen a number of these videos, and so often they do NOT talk about what the title would lead you to believe. This video says nothing about what to do with them when they in the ground….pruning, fertilizing, deadheading. Need more meet usable information
Everything I have seen about Penstemon says that they will survive to Zone 5a. I had some that didn't flower here in Zone 5b. But, that was entirely my fault. I planted them in a bad bed that was overrun by our invasive Evening Primroses, Black Eyed Susans, and Golden Glows (Outhouse Flowers). I am getting some new ones later today and will plant them in the better beds I have cultivated.
