  1. Awesome video!!! I got one side of my small garden setup with the shade cloth and reed fencing now but what I'm thinking I may do is buy one of those sun shades and anchor it to the house and fence and completely cover the garden until late fall. They are pretty affordable and should be easy to take down for winter. We shall see! You and your garden are a total inspiration to me!!!

  2. Nice video. I know what you mean about sunburn. I once had May hair braided while at the beach and got sunburn it hurt. True about the tomatoes.

  3. It was 90 here yesterday and I was out shading the chickens and watering everything extra. We rarely get over 100 here so 90's is hot for us. Your garden is awesome, do you have issues with scorpions? My sister lives in the Phoenix area and won't plant stuff because she is afraid of the scorpions (or that is her excuse anyways).

  4. Put a hat on!! lol. Your head is going to look like a tomato. Mr. Lovato with a head lookin like a tomat -0 It is too dang hot there! Once again..Great job!

  5. Dude I seen you melt at least an inch during this video. Garden is looking super cool. Does it always get that hot every summer? Your shade cloth idea is great! You have me thinking about putting some across the top of all my racks. Don't know if you ever watched any of garden updates but I think it would work out great! Stay cool as you can brother!!! Oh your pumpkins are looking ever so good! Couple folks need to be paying attention… We will not say his or her name….LOL

  6. Never knew about shade cloth before watching you. I always learn new stuff about gardening from you, hugs brother!

  7. You are braver than me i sat in front of the AC all day today! Still was barley able to get house cooler than 85 today!

  8. Shade cloth really is the key here in the summer it looks like. I really have never used it but may have to make the investment. Great setup!!

  11. I do not ever want to deal with this heat, but I am impressed at your efforts. Here in Oregon we've had more cool weather than we counted on. Edamame is not happy, but the pumpkin babies are growing well. Thanks for the video, loved seeing your chickens in the desert!

  17. Looks great! Keep up on all the hard work. You mentioned having gophers. What do you plant directly in ground that gophers will not touch? We are trying to experiment at the garden and find out on our end.
    Thanks for sharing! 🙂
