Yep I use my guinea pig poop as fertilizer. So good!
Hi friend! I really have enjoyed vlogmas! Wearing my red Wild Floridian Tshirt for our audits today. We passed with flying colors! New lucky charm! š
I do use golden pothos on top of my fish tanks. They absorb a ton of the nutrients in the fish tank. Jo loves having it in the garden crawling up the oak tree, so thank you once more friend for giving me supporting evidence to eliminate pothos from my yard
So much fun, inspiraration and value in these videos wonderful gift to us viewers. Thank you and Merry Christmas Jacqueline!
Jaclyn, this is off topic, but I wanted to share in case someone else also didn't know this. Bees will stay in spent flower folds when it is cold until it warms up enough for them. Outside this morning pinching off the spent hibiscus flowers and accidentally disturbed a sleeping bee! Little one flew away when I touched its flower. Ooops! I'm sure he's fine. Ended up leaving the rest of the spent blooms out there. Northeast florida here.
Merry Christmas to you and your family. Thank you for all the videos. Skin So Soft from Avon is what they use for the sand fleas.
We have beavers here in Tallahassee. One time I saw otters running across the street and I squealed!
Thank you for this entire series. Merry Christmas to you and your family. Enjoy your time off.
Thank you! I havenāt gotten to watch them all yet but I have been enjoying and plan to keep watching through them next week to catch them all.
Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Best vlogmas ever!!!
You are awesome! Merry Christmas!!!!
Thank you- I took loads of notes thru your series. Wishing you an abundant new year.
Grazon is the herbicide that is what passes through animals
Donāt say Farrell! How about See ya next year!
Thank you for this series. It has been great! Tonight is the first night of the freeze and I'm praying the garden makes it. Also, several of my neighbors should watch your video about how to cover their plants. There are a lot who only covered the tops of the plants but lower areas are exposed. Poor plants.
Happy holidays to you all.
I have seen so many hummingbirds this fall on my plants. I donāt use feeders but they love the butterfly gardens
Ohhh.. You became part of my nightly routine since Thanksgiving! It was such a treat! I've been watching your channel for a while and love to learn from you. I appreciate your humbleness and enjoy your sense of humor. Can't wait to see the book and planning calendar! Merry Christmas!
Been loving these – thank you soooo much for all the work youāve been putting in! Truly a tremendous amount of incredibly useful info. I will be watching a number of these again.
Quick question (and I donāt mind waiting for a vid if thatās easier) – is there a way to discourage stinging caterpillars? Like certain plants the adults would avoid? I have young nieces, and while I donāt think theyād deliberately touch any caterpillar, I donāt want them accidentally touching one of these if they touch a plant. Honestly I donāt want to either, especially after stories of my aunt getting stung by an Io caterpillar. I get that nothingās foolproof, just would hope there might be ways to reduce the odds.
On horse manure – watch salt levels due to salt licks/salt supplementation. Itās another reason you need to age horse manure. Aside from it being hot, you also need to leach out any salt if thereās an excess.
Having gardened in a dry climate, I also sing the praises of mulch. Makes a huugggee difference! Iād never not use it. š
On in ground composting- you can make an in bed composter with a 5gal bucket. I recommend getting one w a screw lid to avoid attracting mammal pests. Take a drill w a step drill bit (looks kind of conical and the bit is not expensive), and drill holes in the part intended for below ground so worms and such can get in. You also might want to cut off bottom, but up to you. Bury in garden w top above ground. Put in scraps, close lid, and let worms do their thing, no muss, no fuss, and no worm management required. They will not only poop in surrounding bed, but will also leave you with castings in the bucket.
Thank you for your videos Jacqueline. I enjoyed them. My red sage doesn't bloom well. I wonder if it's not getting enough sun. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and happy healthy New Year. (You forgot to wish those of us who celebrate Chanukah and Happy Chanukah).
Merry Christmas!! May your holidays be full of joy and peace. Love the videos.
Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas from directly across from you on the east coast. I look forward to your posts and they truly have helped my gardening flourish. All the best and Thank You for all your videos.
Hey, have a lovely crimbo girl catch you next year.
I am 70 years old and just move back to the Punta Gorda area after being up north. Iām trying to have plants in the yard that are medicinal so I donāt need to take the pills the doctors put me on. Iām not asking medical advice but Iām asking if theyāre medicinal but not native how do you find some thing that is native With the same use. That 70 retaining all the information is impossible so I guess Iām looking for a book that gives the exact plants for the area and medicinal
Merry Christmas! Great info. Newbie in Florida 9b and have learned so much from your channel especially attracting the butterflies. I must document my growing journey it would help!
Thank you so much for your vlogmas videos! I watched and enjoyed every single one. I know that putting out a video every weekday is a big effort so I just wanted to say thank you and Merry Christmas to you and your family. Also, love all the new editing. Looking good š
