In this video I show how to make “thoran”, a delicious South Asian side-dish that makes use of greens, onions, shredded coconuts and spices.

Ingredients:

2 large onion
1 Small cabbage (about 6 cups chopped greens)
3 carrots (Grated)
1-2 cups grated coconut
1 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp tumeric
1 tsp cumin (seeds)
1 tbsp oil
1 or 2 lemon wedges
1 tsp salt

  1. I have found that with most Thai/Indian/Asian food everything goes with vegetables! So I always mix as many vegetables as I want to the spices and sauces of these cuisines.
