Hello Tina and Mark hope y'all are doing well. Great garden tour it's looking good ,the strawberry plants are so pretty. Stay safe sending prayers š and God's blessings. Much love and big tx hugs from South Tx.
Thanks for the garden update. After all the planting, itās fun to see the germination and growth. Peas are really taking off.
Things are looking good, Tina. As it warms up the garden will come alive with more than garlic and onions. Great idea with the wire to attract Martins.
Take care and stay safe,
Rob
Warmer days are on their way!! It was 81 yesterday and supposed to be 85 today.
The garden is looking good! Itās been rainy and cool here too. Next week is suppose to be warmer temperatures and sunshine ! The wind wasnāt bad, after all you are outside in nature. š
Look at that garlic. Mine is just poking out of the ground, but the snow just left that bed. You have all kinds of seedlings emerging. Once all that rain stops, you will be a busy couple.
Have a blessed week.
Can't wait for bucket garden so I can plant according to how you do it..looking forward to a twin garden so to speak. Lol.. Blessings
Everything is looking good.. with the crazy weather Iām surprised anything is growing..
Thinks for the update!
Everything is growin, growin!
Thanks for the tour Tina.
We have the same weather here, just colder š«
JO JO IN VT šš
Well, at least you didn't have to water the garden. I was surprised at how fast the peas had grown. The garden updates are enjoyable, Tina.
Things are looking good!
Great job Tina! Everything is coming up and looks good. With all the rain everything will be growing up a storm. The cabbage, and garlic is already beautiful! Xs & <3
Your smile and garden makes my day.
We dont live far from you guys and am wondering how you control slugs in lettuce and those nasty green worms in cabbages and broccoli. They all grossed me out so much we stopped raising it.
No need to apologize for the wind. Mother Nature will do as she pleases. Gardens are looking awesome.
Looking good,
I finally found about 12, out of 100 garlic peeking outta the straw yesterday, and now we got about another 6"s of snow forecast for Monday night š āāā
I'll trade ya the snow, for your cold and yucky.
TFS, be safe
Mark
Always enjoy your garden tours as everything always looks so wonderful!
Love that beautiful strawberry bed. What kind do you grow? Are they ever bearing?
Yah itās been really wet and cool this year! Up in ct. too … Iām hoping that my lettuce has a season before it just goes to real hot weather
Beautiful garden
yup blah times here too hugssssss
We had a lot of rain, but this past week we started burning up. LOL so hot š„µ some of my seedlings died. It was ok though, because they were extras. Your garden looks great as always. So jealous of the strawberry beds, they look amazing! Have a great one friends and stay safe š
We've had an awful April here in MA. Most days in the 40s. My onions are just starting to root now. I had to wait until a couple days ago to put lettuce plants out because we're still getting hard freezes. Brussel sprouts and kale is doing just fine. Bidding my time until I can put my beans in, waiting until the soil gets to 50F. Finally got myself a soil thermometer.
Your garden is looking great!!!
Awesome Garden Tour. It;s ok about the wind. You have no control over it. All the plants are looking great. You both keep safe and well. God Bless Y'all.
We actually had a beautiful day today and of course it would be on a day that I'm down in my lower back but despite the pain I managed to get some yard work done, not as much as I would have liked but it felt good getting out in the warm fresh air and getting something accomplished out there .. Your garden looks great ,can't wait to see what you have in mind for your bucket garden .
Everything's looking good some way better then mines it's like my carrots and beets are just sitting there and I think I might of put mines in before you guys I'm in knox tn so I'm hoping it's the crazy weather it's my first time doing beets and I have yet to get good carrots so I put them in a raised bed this year but it's my raised beds first yr being planted in so wish me luck. Love your videos and sharing your knowledge I'll fill my next beds with you guys supper soil if I can
Enjoyed the walkabout and excited to see your bucket garden planted. My strawberries are blooming also but I donāt have very many. Also have little cucumbers setting. They are about 2ā long. Radishes doing well and those two tomato plants have begun setting fruit. They may be cherry tomatoes as the blooms are in large clusters so I know they are gifts from the birds because there werenāt any there last year, just Amish paste. Thanks for the cool vid!
thank you for sharing..everything looks great…
Everything is looking great!! Love ya š¦š
I am having a real problem with my garlic. Last year I lost almost my whole crop to rust on the leaves. So this year I started early when I saw the rust, spraying it with a copper fungicide that the nursery recommended. That has certainly helped in all three of my garlic beds. However, one of my beds did something that I have never seen before, donāt know what caused it, and donāt know how to prevent it next year. The garlic came up just fine. However it very quickly went from three or four nice big green leaves to a bunch of little tiny shoots right in the middle of the leaves. There were probably 10 or 12 little shoots on each of the plants. I wish I had taken a picture. Recently, all of the green leaves, including both the big leaves and the shoots, died back. Since I know that with the leaves all die in the winter I supposed to harvest the garlic, I started pulling them up. Each one of them had beautiful little cloves, one for each little leaf and shoot. that came up, however there was no paper covering around the whole bunch of them. They are all totally just exposed. Iām assuming this will make them very hard to store so I may just freeze them. But I was wondering if you had any idea what I did wrong to make the little cloves but not create the outer covering. My other two beds are pretty much looking ok. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
I just started my beans and peas in the house because the chipmunks dig them up if I plant directly in the garden.
Your gardens are beautiful.š
