There was a time that all I wanted in the world was a little farm where I could raise my family and grow our food. Now, that is exactly what exists outside my door. In watching it unfold, a new dream was formed in my heart – to share this beautiful life with others and teach them the lessons we’ve learned along the way. Welcome to our journey, friend.     I was at Lowes yesterday in Forney, TX and it was 11 degrees. I get to the customer service desk and the young man behind the counter was in a tshirt and cargo shorts. I so hoped he had long pants to wear when he went home.

    It’s been below zero in Illinois the last couple of days. Today it’s up to a balmy 18 degrees! Wind chill is -35 though! The wind here is a beast! I really thought those cold hardy veggies would be ok in the high tunnel. Merry Christmas! Jesus is born! Stay warm. ( we need a picture of you all in your fancy dinner)

    Made the chickens and guineas stay in and turned on a heat lamp. I have been making extra sure they have water and took out a high protein block. They are weathering the storm just fine. They would like to out but I don't want them dragging in snow and wetting the bedding. Hope everyone out there is doing fine and having a merry christmas.

    I’m in the south too and it’s 1 degree outside 😂 it’s gonna get up to like 27 tomorrow but then we’re getting more snow. I’m just thankful to not be in a blizzard 😂 I’m trying to not just sleep all day- I like to hibernate in weather like this 😂

    I'm a newly diagnosed Autistic Adult at age 39. I thank God for helping me find myself. It makes sense. My whole life something was missing, because I've been masking all my life. Make you life special for you and your loved ones. That's all that matters. Putting God first is always a must in our family. God Bless, stay warm.

    This is our first winter in South Carolina too. I definitely can't complain, but geesh, it's an adjustment (coming from Arizona). We tucked our animals into the barn workshop yesterday before the cold front hit. So all is going well here. We wish your fam a very Merry Christmas!

    We had such strong winds in Quebec yesterday a tree took out our fencing for the chicken run and pig run. It was so bad we thought our house was going to blow over and last night it was -22 Celsius. Have a merry Christmas to your family.
