  1. You can get a phalaenopsis orchid at the grocery store lol they're so easy. I have had orchids for 10 years and I just love them! I live in the US but you can totally get them at Lowe's and every grocery store here lol

  2. Hoya praetorii is high up on my wishlist for next year too! Thin leaf Hoyas are where it’s at imo though.
And orchids are SO much fun to grow because they’re just so different from other houseplants, and you really can’t go wrong with the insane variety of miniatures. Fair warning though, that first orchid can definitely lead to a slippery slope…😅

  3. Crystal Star has an amazing variety, also check out the Canadian orchid society. There are some great small nurseries. I have a couple phalaenopsis, one mystery rescue and one species Phalaenopsis pulcherrima var Champorensis, that I got for Crystal Star Nursery on my last order. I tried oncidium/ oncidium types and I just killed it. A too have a vanilla and it's been as easy as a philodendron. I don't have it on moss yet but it's been super easy and probably super easy to propagate. Merry Christmas Fern, can't wait for your top 20 of 2022. Love

  4. This week I had the opportunity to get a cast iron plant the Milky Way version very expensive but it’s been on my wishlist for a while. I also got a new pohos Called Silver streak I also got the global Green, pohos

  5. The Thanksgiving catcus reminds me of a scorpion. Anyone? I also have the Philodendron orange marmalade and aglonema manila's pride on my wishlist too!

  6. Hi Fern every year there is an orchid show at Edwards Gardens. As there will be one in February 2023. There you can find every orchid ever.

  7. My dog literally tore my Serpens apart two weeks ago. I have two viable nodes left. I couldn’t get the thing to grow right anyways it had SO much EFN on it it looked horrible. Idk why!!

  8. Crystal Star always has a bunch of cool orchids and you have ordered from them before so are familiar with them so that might be a good place to start!

  9. Hi FernI have tryed to grow Orchid I've had 4 and after the blooms it never grew again so I would try a little one a first. Have a great day

  10. Jajaaa was so funny how you through your phone , lovely cage for you phone Im sure would like one, your plants are beautiful like always love you begonia and of course the one on your list too.🍃🍀🎄🌺

  11. Hello Fern, variegated Obovata is by far the fastest growing Hoya i own. It did took s bit to get started but once it did nothing has stopped it. I hope is the case for yours too

  12. Phalaenopsis schilleriana is a beautiful botanical orchid with silvery variegated leaves, check it out 🙂 It should be fairly easy to get too! <3

  13. I have a silver bay aglaonema, I love her! You definitely need to get one and I love the Manila's Pride you showed never seen it before. Or the variegated thanksgiving cactus, never knew they existed so now I need one! As for the phalaenopsis orchids, I have two in leca. I would definitely recommend trying semi-hydro if/when you get one. Super easy and they love it! Thank you for giving me more ideas for my next plant haul.

  14. I was definitely waiting for you to add “thai con that’s not a little b***h” onto 2023 wishlist 😜

  15. I got a phalaenopsis orchid for myself as a birthday gift this year and really struggled with it in orchid mixes. However, once i switched it to LECA in a self watering pot and started using the General Hydroponics nutrient solution it TOOK OFF. I mean like it was putting out leaves at the same time has blooms. It had 15 blooms on one spike and once that spike started to drop leaves it put out another spike immediately! I highly recomend leca if you get an orchid as well as the GE Blooming Specturm grow light! all i have to think about with it now is misting it with orchid spray and refilling its cachepot!

  16. Yeah I'm in the same boat as you. I'm trying to keep my plant collection to minimum because of space. But what I would like to get for 2023 is philodendron golden dragon variegated

  17. I am not a fan of regular Christmas or thanksgiving cactus but the variegated version is absolutely gorgeous. I may have bought myself one before the video even ended 😂🎁🎄

  18. Anyone relate to thinking of Thanksgiving and Christmas Cactus (variegated or not) as those overgrown but kinda crusty-looking plants that stood in the office corner or your grandma's hallway since 30 years, along the spider plants in leca and some random cactus?

I love to see them getting the reputation they're getting now tho 😀

  19. Love love love your sweet videos!!! 🌵🌿🎄🎁🔔⛪️🙏🏻
Thank you for your content. I have a Silver Bay Agleonema. They don’t like to be too wet but like to be in good light! Very easy plant!
I also have the Red Siam. Love them both!
    Merry Christmas!!

  20. Hi Fern, your Wishlist is great for 2023! I have to get the New Guinea Ghost Hoya and a Violecia Phalaenopsis orchid, also known as Summer Blooming orchids. I collect orchids as well as houseplants and I agree that the mini phals would be great for you, they can grow right on a windowsill and barely take up any space at all!

  21. Im very happy for all the plants you were able to get and really hope you can get the ones you want in 2023:)
I really really want a burle marx fantasy and im also wanting to get into miniature orquids🌞 Hopefully more hoya starts coming to costa rica too so i can get some more because they are some of my favorites as well:)

  22. I love aglaonemas! They are so underrated in my opinion. They are gorgeous, easy care, don't require a pole, and stay rather compact.

  23. I don't really have a wishlist for 2023 and that is the first time. I want to change my whole plantroom and want to thin out my collection even more. But I'm so unsure on where to start and I don't want to throw plants away of cuttings. So think I will wait till spring and try to sell everything I want to get rid of. After that I might take a look at my wishlist again haha

  24. Hi!
My wish list for 2023 in no particular order.
    Hoya Callistophylla
    Satin pothos
    Anthurium clarinervium
    Scindapsus silvery Anne
Alocasia Silver dragon (inspired by you)
    Hoya Heuschkeliana Variegata
    Can't wait for 2023!
    Merry Christmas Fern!
Hope you get all your wish plants in the new year!

  25. Not sure what’s on my list for next year, but def still want some sorta variegated alocasia, and maybe some unique cacti/succulents.

  26. Roehampton orchids usually have lots of beautiful phalaenopsis… this ship Canada wide …😊 I have ordered several orchids from them (not just phals) and I am mostly quite pleased!
