The spring cottage garden is finished and the seed has been collected which means it’s time to get this bed replanted for summer! This year we are going with a sunflower theme 🌻🌻🌻

  1. This is a video that I will bookmark to my gardening folder for inspiration every June, a month where there is a lot of transition in the garden but I seem to get creatively "stuck". Wow, Brie, just awesome!

  2. Can't wait to see the progress of this bed. I've already planted sunflowers in several areas of the yard and they're coming up quite well but now thinking to get a few more in so they'll be blooming closer to fall since it's not too late (7a)

  3. It already looks great, bet it will be awesome when everything grows in. I thought I'd missed my window for planting okra this year… but it looks like that is not the case! 😀

  4. At the beginning, it looks like Savannah and Aiden could have used sunglasses. Look at their faces squinting.🌻

  5. For the agapanthus and dealing with winter wet, could you cover it with an overturned pot or with a tarp to reduce water?

  6. You are so lucky to have great help, will you add irrigation or hand water, in zone 8a and trying to figure a water strategy given 100+ degrees

  7. It’s going to look beautiful! I planted up a bed last night because I too couldn’t keep them watered. We are having a tiny break from the heat today so hopefully they’ll be okay. I planted some agastache and the potting medium they were in was so odd, almost like sawdust.

  8. So awesome that you had help this year! I LOVE how the kids are showing a sincere passion in gardening. NICE!!!

  9. Fantastic video again, @brietheplantlady! It looks like I got one good poppy seed pod from my planting last Thanksgiving here in Charlotte. Lots of bachelor buttons and other plants. Good practice for the bounty when I do it all again this Thanksgiving for next year 😉.

Hoping I can come see you and get some of those poppy seeds you're harvesting now.
