I was just listening and thinking about what you're saying about college, Dave. I'm thinking of my dear old Dad trying to pay for seven kids' education. He did a great job of it for a poorish/middle class social worker who eventually lost his suburban house. I got half a degree in one college and a master's in a European one…about seven years of it, all told. I don't regret all of it, as I learned critical thinking, although I do feel my Dad was robbed on the whole and is a product of his indoctrination in many of his beliefs concerning the education system. Before Subirats went a 'bit' nuts I remember all of us walking through Oxford. We were talking about wanting to start a flat earth university. We looked at buildings in Oxford and dreamt about buying them as the bricks-and-mortar element for what we already considered our 'university' of flat earth research and truthseeking. Years later, post-'mudflood' information, I still hold out hope that one day those old world buildings will be seen as sacred by all humanity, and will be used as real-world gathering places for those of us who choose truth and the path to true enlightenment through the trivium method.
The idea of a University is not so bad as what it has become.
