We’ve been living off grid in our tent for a few months now and as the summer weather heats up, we’re increasingly in need of better shower facilities. We’ve tried a few camping shower solutions but none were really up to the task so we’ve been making do with a bucket of water and an old chair. Luxury.

In this episode we scavenge and reclaim a bunch of materials from our scrap pile and from other places around the property to build a rustic outdoor shower. Follow along to see what happens…

  1. Enjoy all of your videos!
Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a very, very Happy New Year 🇨🇦🎄🥂

  2. So much fun! I love, love, love when people make use of scrap to make what they need, and there's really no need to explain, you're obviously used to putting your "little grey cells" to work!

  3. I know what you do are doing with that old shower chair and the one in the tree you too was pretending the Flashdance scene LOL

  4. Kylie & Guy Merry Christmas to you both and all your families. That is an awesome outdoor shower set up.

  5. Hello Kylie and Guy, Thank you again for the videos and hard work. I am following a french man that is renovating an old house for several years now and is also a craftman ( he has a channel called Bichon TV). Last episode he uploaded he talked about how impact tools were really bad if you are seeking for strengh. Basically impacting a screw this fast into the wood damages the metal and the wood and they wont "fuse" as stong. the screw are more fragile, can break easily and support way less weight. For a temporary solution I think there is no problem, but it may be interesting to seek more info before using those kind of tools for the house renovation. I'm sorry I don't have any real scientific article as it is not my area of expertise. Have a great week and christmas ! Looking forward to follow your journey 🙂

  6. I have nothing to say really, but I appreciate your content, and wish to help with the yt-algorithms.

  8. And the Oscar for the category of "Sustainable building and double entendres" goes to……… Kylie and Guy!!!! Yaaay. Great stuff. I'm glad you're reposting your old videos. I'd seen them all before the previous channel closed, but they are all worth watching again. Happy Christmas, folks.

  9. A shelf for your impact driver if you need to make repairs whilst taking a shower…brilliant! I love it and your sense of humor, Guy.

  12. Sorting the wood is like alphabetical order. Youll know where to find what youre looking for 👌

  13. Who gives a fig about what anyone thinks about what YOU do with YOUR stuff! Good on you for RE-USING things that would have just gone to a dump somewhere! 🙂 You're recycling your stuff, so THAT, my friends, is a GOOD thing! 🙂

  14. I completely understand your OCD regarding the wood, I am the same. It is so much easier to have things organized. Congrats on the shower room, well done. Love your videos and watching your progress.

  15. 7:20 a hose that probably was used to water the farm by hand (like the smaller hoses for a garden). It would be hooked to a water pump (electric or probably petrol or diesel)

  16. Hi,
I can't stop laughing every time you see "Temporary." 🤣 Everything takes so much more time than in the mind.
    Keep on going 👋♥️🇳🇱
