For me this is a very hardy plant, they were thriving in 3 feet of snow 😉
Beautiful flower, they grew really well here in the uk and presently we have around 40 seedlings almost ready for planting out
I understood every word you said and that is a real compliment. I would like to know how to collect the seed and plant for next year.
I live in New York. My Gaillardia is 5 years old. It comes back every Spring.
I was told they were perennials
If they are annuals… then why did they cover the landscapes back then? Did the Indians plant all them?
If you plant it in an areas that gets sun year round they can come back. I only get them back for 2 years after planting. That said, they’re very easy to grow from seed in jiffy pots. I did it this year and have too many blanketflower now because all the seeds germinated and grew.
