Hello! My name is Bethany and I grow things in my rooftop container garden in Chicago, zone 6a. I’ve been container gardening for four years and am by no means an expert, just someone who enjoys sharing their garden journey.
In this video, I’m pruning the two tomato plants I planted in one of my 30 gallon grow bags. I’ll go over the basics of pruning and show you what I’m doing to control the size of my plants.

Very nice tips! Have a great day 🤗🌿
Thanks for the info…not to get off subject but how long does it take those zinnias to bloom…I planted some from seed they are getting tall but I'm impatiently waiting for some color 😬
Determinate and indeterminate tomato plants. I never knew that until today thanks to you. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. 🍅
Great video. I was told not to really prune suckers on cherries because they will produce fruit on all of their stems…
The exception for indeterminate and determinate is cherry tomatoes, side branches (suckers) produce as much as the main stem. Cherry tomatoes and determinate tomatoes only need minimal pruning for air flow and removing diseased leaves if present.
Excelente video Bethany!! muy buena administración en la huerta, así se logran mejores frutos. Bendiciones.🙏🌿🍅🕊🌺💖👍👏
Try and grow "Dwarf Tomato Project" varities. Determinate plants that grow nice big tomatoes 🙂
Who else loves the smell of these plants? Every opportunity I get I fan them with my hands.
The smell makes me feel like a real gardener .
