One of the great experiences of summer time is when the Hummingbirds come back home. There are several plants you can add to your yard to help welcome them. In this video we will cover three plants in particular that will really get their attention.

Cuphea are popular ornamental plants. One type is called the Bat Face Flower. Another type of Cuphea that works well to attract hummingbirds is the Cigar Plant.
. Cupheas typically bloom from spring through the fall. They grow best when planted in full, bright sun but they are able to handle periods of light shade.

One more plant that will help draw the hummingbirds to your home this season is the Mexican Firebush. The blooms are an orange-reddish color.
The three flowers can be planted together. If you choose to plant them in a pot, they will grow well in a five-gallon bucket. Make sure the bucket is the type that has holes in the bottom to let it drain. Once you place that out in your yard, you can sit back and wait for the hummingbirds to come visit.
