  1. I first moved back to Philly in the fall of 1989 and I like my grandfather he had his favorite news anchor, I developed mine "Jim Gardner" which I watched many times on Action News Wpvi6. Then one I happened to walk into a little pub the Bala Inn and there was the Man Jim Garner I introduced myself told to Jim and told the bartender to give Jim and drink on me scotch. I would see Jim on other occasions and even shot a few games of pool whenever I saw Jim he was always pleasant and approachable and that being that Jim thank you for the time you share throughout the years. You became our hometown voice may you be Blessed with many more wonderful years and memories. Happy Retirement.🎄🥂

  2. I didn’t realize his last name was actually Goldman. I don’t think he needed to change it.

  3. Guy’s been retiring for two years now . And only the press is allowed to use the press to say that the press isn’t the enemy. The press says its unbiased except , for when it defends the press ….

  4. Job well done .enjoy your retirement. Been watching you since 1977 I was 7.lol.the only anchorman better than Jim Gardener in the Great Ron Burgundy. 👍

  5. A living legend gracefully leaves us today with words of evergreen wisdom. Thank you for being the face of honest and comprehensive news for more than 4 decades, Jim.

  6. Enjoy your retirement handsome Jim Garner. God bless you and your family. 💜

  7. Asylum seekers please what a joke. Just what this city needs more people sucking the system dry

  8. Obviously Jim is a familiar face so he'll be missed but he was way off with his comments about the media. He's been running with the fake news for a long time especially all the conspiracy theories about Trump that were never proven to be accurate. And why should he retract a story or correct it when the real facts come out 6 months later and he knows the original rumor is long forgotten although it stays in people's minds for a long time.

  9. I had an interaction with Jim on Twitter. He called a fire at a nursing home a "mass casualty event". Then disclosed no one was killed. I asked him why use such provocative language. He got all snippy with me and said that's the term fire departments use when there are a lot of injuries. I said the average person doesn't know what that term means just what it sounds like. I'm not sure purposely using such confusing terms lends credibility to a newscast. Jim failed his audience that night.

  10. 🫡 Sir I grew up on your legendary 6ABC Brodcast for years you will be missed THANK YOU

  11. how did all this fans at the Talgat party in the station parking lot know there was going to be a sendoff party?

  12. JG had an offer to go national after Peter Jennings stepped down. He declined. Wanted to stay in Philly. Good luck, Jim. We love you. A constant in an everchanging world.
