  1. I'm only recently finding out theres so many edible mushrooms and that they grow all over , i remember seeing giant puffballs all the time when i was young and kicking the shit out of them so they explode lol

  2. Not sure how I stumbled across this video (had no interest in mushrooms at all) but I couldn’t stop watching it! Well done! Now, I have to go to your website!

  3. Be very very careful when picking mushrooms to eat. Learning from pictures in books can be fatal. Please don’t take unnecessary risks.

  4. Very good cautions!!!
I’m so glad ours including them.
Also mentioning how alcohol can effect you put to several days after consuming certain mushrooms might be helpful ☀️

  5. I spent quite a lot of time foraging in North Germany 50 years ago and learned very many fungi. Must admit nearly all of these are new to me. Excellent.

  6. I fell asleep so good to this video. I put it on replay and let me tell you. I had the best sleep of my life and I’m 100% serious.😊

  7. It's so beautiful how people keeps talking so many good things about psychedelics. Everyone focused on how magical shrooms can change their lives..I haven't tried them yet but there are definitely on my list of “must do”;) just looking for a reliable source.

  8. Mushroom soup recipe for dinner with my favorite subject and a good time to go to the store 🏪

  9. I tried chicken of the woods but had an allergic reaction (rash). Is that because I'm allergic to sulfa?

  10. Found a mushroom in my yard. Took a bite. Felt fine. Ate some more… I found it again this year. I think… I cooked it though so it should be alright.

  11. I'm from central Europe, and grew up in a small town. Our house was next to a field and forest, so every spring I used to forage wood blewits. My dear old grandma would fry them up with onions, sometimes eggs. Sometimes found marasmius oreades fairy rings too.
    Good times…

  12. I hunt and collect king boleta mushrooms (spelling?). I didn't see any on this video but they are one of my favorites. They can be very large but the smaller ones are best. The kings only grow below evergreen trees and if there are leafing trees around there won't be kings but possibly rufus boletas. No boleta is poisonous but some are called non-digestable.

  13. I just found your channel recently and I’m in love! I love plants and fungi and my goal is to be a confident forager. I’ve been watching everyday and I’ve already learning so much! Thank you so much, your channel is amazing!

  14. I wanted to say that this video was very helpful to me when I discovered wood blewits growing in my leaf compost last November. I came across these pinkish brown dinner-plate sized caps that were stacked in layers, almost resembling a shelf fungus, so I almost mistook them for oysters. I did a ton of research, tried to consult a local foraging expert (though he was stumped) ruled out the violet cortinarius, and finally got a positive ID. Wood blewits have a sweet floral smell, a white or pinkish white spore print, and all the features you mentioned. They were quite good too.

  15. Here in the UK mycologists will teach you never to pick wild lion’s mane as it is so rare now. Best to buy from a reputable source that is growing organic lion’s mane. Just in case anyone from the UK is watching this 🙏🏽

  16. Very informative. Thank you! I'm setting here watching this & my 20 year old comes in & says "I didn't know you like watching about mushrooms! There's a good documentary on Netflix about mushrooms!" 🤨😂 I didn't know he was interested in mushrooms either. Maybe I can get him to go foraging with me. 😃
