  1. I add everything to my compost. I've noticed that normal kitchen scraps disappear in a week and larger things or denser takes a bit longer.

  2. I bought mini roses at the grocery and planted them in my flower beds. They grew much larger and make normal sized rose blooms now. So far they seem to be growing great. I'm in Citrus County. They are shaded half the day. I always get INFJ when I take those tests. I do spend most of my time alone though 😅

  3. Gardening for Wildlife is a great online plant store. They go by ZIP CODE not state. They will only ship a plant thats native in that zip code! Love this practice ❀

  4. I've been trying to remove Mexican petunias from my yard since we bought our house in 1982. 40+ years. Somehow I ended up with some of the "blue" flowers turning pink. The older couple that we bought our home from always called them "blue bells" , but yeah, I'm now too old to get down and try to pull those little sucker's up, I've just learned to live with them and have them knocked down with a weed eater in between the cracks in the concrete walkways and driveway. Uurrgg. đŸ€Ș

  5. I’m from Florida. Maybe the reason why it took so long to hit Florida is because when you went to the orange fields they all had southern live oaks growing near them. That’s interesting. I never knew that

  6. Oh, I also have a question about whether or not Drake Elm trees are invasive? They are beautiful in the summer and after seeing a very old tree in the yard at a garage sale we fell in love with it. We (my sisters, my mother and i) all went to the nursery and each bought one. We at that time all lived about 2 miles from each other. We each planted our trees in our front yard. By about 10 years later, although the trees were beautiful, the roots were horrible and started breaking up our driveways, and I realized that all my neighbors started having these "trees" growing wild all throughout the neighborhood. They ended up being such a messy pain in the butt (although still beautiful in summer), all three of us had our trees cut down. Mine was cut down about 10 years ago. I actually dug up my front yard and tried to get every root I could find. I used chain saw, zawsaw,…. still to this day, I have these coming up all over my yard. Anyways, saying all that, are these on the bad list in Florida? If not, they should be. đŸ‘č Thanks
