NOTE: Garden tips on planting our giant tomato plants and how to tamp the soil over your seeds for better germination. Free garden ties, clay soil, staggering your planting times, a special made hoe, and the first 3 drip lines installed. Finally it got dry enough to start our garden. We did this over the Memorial Day weekend. My bride and I planted 39 tomato plants and 40′ of cukes.

  3. That's a beautiful garden spot. I'm trying to get my soil worked in like yours. I'd be happy with 8 inches of good stuff above the clay. But I need to step up the addition of organic matter and compost. It's just hard to find that stuff around here. I might have to go into the woods and start raking leaves. 🙂

  5. We had a few days of mid 90s as a relief from our mid 100's these last few days. But it was too short. We will soon be pushing 110 plus.

  6. How long have you been growing tomatoes?I guess you've really gone this far and I truly admire you for being a green thumb! Anyway, I am so thankful learning some reliable ideas regarding on this crop.

  9. Hello I am down here in south Georgia, I have, what appears to be a sandy red clay dirt here, will tomatoes grow in that type soil or do I need to supplement with top soil Pete moss compost.
