In this butterfly gardening VLOG, watch as I freshen up and grow more milkweed for my Monarch Caterpillars. Plus, see a freshly eclosed Monarch Butterfly and watch it take flight in my garden. I also have to try to help a couple of J hanging monarch caterpillars that fell pupate successfully. There is always something interesting going on in my butterfly garden and I love sharing it all with you. Thank you for SUBSCRIBING to my channel.

  1. By the way, this doesn’t always work but on some occasions it does. I save some of my caterpillars’ silk buttons they leave at the top for ones that fall like that. Then I tape the silk button together to help it hold firm, and then put the feet of my fallen caterpillars and to my surprise they usually attach! I then hang them in there normal hanging position and so far of the about a dozen that I’ve done this with, none have fallen! And about two pupated abnormally, but we’re able to fly as adults because they eclosed very well. Just a tip for the future of the caterpillars decide to fall mysteriously like that again.

  2. Oh my god your so funny, a milkweed caterpillar wedding bouquet lol Great video! You really got your hands full there gonna eat your milkweed before it even has a chance to grow with her laying all them eggs on it. So cool though.

  3. I loved your strategy on helping fallen caterpillars. Usually when I encounter fallen caterpillars it is because tachinid flies have injected them with their larva. The caterpillar looks fine but within a few days after pupating the tachinid fly maggots eat thru the chrysalis. Hopefully your fallen caterpillars will be fine and you'll have more beautiful monarch butterflies to release.

Take care and have a grrrreat Butterfly Gardening Inspirations day!!!
