  1. Thank you for still doing "gardening" videos in the winter!!! I get tired of all the holiday decorating videos on other garden channels, even though I still love those channels. Keepin' it real Jim and Steph! 😊

  2. Love getting to hear from Stephanie! I’m a landscape designer in Raleigh and Panther Creek is one of my favorite nurseries.

  3. Jim, is there a hint at a Xmas present in this video?😉 Every time I watch one of your videos I see something(s) that intrigues me or that I already have added to my list of desired plants.

  4. Love my Gordlinia, two winters strong in 6B. Fall coloring was a great surprise! Hard to find at garden centers when I travel south.

  5. love seeing y'all working together (sort of) in the videos !!!! and what beautiful plant selections – I'm quite inspired by it all … thanks !

  6. Oh my that Feeling Blue is awesome and I'm pretty sure I could find a spot for a container to put this in. That black mondo grass is on my list to find! I love it🙂

  7. Plants 🪴 🌿 and hello Jim and Stephany, wow—wow beautiful plants 🪴. Let go plants some plants 🪴. Thank you Jim and Stephany. Love ❤️ you guys.

  8. Dang, those cedars are gorgeous. 😍 I’m in Holly Springs and so bummed that they’re wholesale only. 😭😭

  9. QUESTION We just moved into a new-construction house in Foley, AL. They landscaped the front yard with a Leland Cypress, Loropetalum & knockout roses. I don’t know a lot about plants, but I think the Leland Cypress & Loropetalum should not be planted so close to the house foundation. My question; can I put the Leland Cypress in a pot or would it be better planted in the ground away from the house and underground infrastructure (gas, water & electric lines)? I don’t have a large lot, so I’m not sure how far from the house I should go.

  10. What a great video! I got so many ideas. I wish I could grow Longleaf pine here in Zone 6B. I'd risk it but feel safer pushing things in these Virginia mountains with Loblolly, another native-to-Virginia pine, though naturally growing much farther east in the state and probably a bit south. Loblolly are over-planted, I know, but I still love 'em!

  11. I really loved hearing Steph’s picks. Please keep including these!

  12. All those plants you profiled were terrific! I loved the cedars, and I would love to have some black mondo grass.

  13. Thank you so much Stephanie for pointing out that this long needle pine is native and a spectacular tree .

  14. Great to hear from Steph! Adding that Sweet Tea Gordlinia to my wish list along with the cedars. Always the cedars!😍

  15. Jim and Steph are like kids in a candy store in this video 😂 Now is a great time to be planning for next year’s garden with exciting “new” plants, thank you for highlighting this wonderful nursery and it’s amazing trees and shrubs!! 🤩

  16. So many excellent selections here. Always a little depressing that I can’t grow most of them but that doesn’t mean I don’t want to know all about them.

  17. Love this content, Jim (and Steph)! I live in Raleigh, and PC is a wholesale nursery…so how do we get out hands on their plants? Any chance of a Jim Putnam invitation to shop there?

  18. I think evergreens are way underrated for gardens. We should incorporate more into our landscapes.

  19. I’m an old time gardener. I used to watch your channel, but it seems you now call all of the plants by their horticultural names, which I’m not familiar with I prefer the common names. So I no longer watch your channel except just occasionally Just so you know why.

  20. Absolutely love seeing these incredible plants and the two gardeners presenting them 💕
