This abandoned building episode shows the start-to-finish (mostly) DIY bathroom renovation.
We start this master bathroom renovation with demolition, framing, plumbing, etc. then get to the finishes. I installed the tiles in the huge curbless walk-in shower, build the concrete countertop and sink, build the vanity cabinet, install a feature wall around the tub, and basically just create the (mostly) DIY bathroom of my dreams.

Note: I say “mostly” DIY because I hired out the rough plumbing and electrical, as well as the rough framing and walls.

  1. It is funny how Americans build an actual house with scotch tape and glue.

  2. The major benefit of cast iron sewer pipes is it's much more quiet than PVC, which is good since its hanging over head.

  3. Hola! 🖐I think the bathroom looks absolutely magnificent. Great job. 👏Good luck on the inspection .Take care and have a good one, Adios!👊

  4. Great job, as usual. This has been a fun journey watching create your space and I look forward to every video. Thank you!

  5. Man you must have the most incredible feeling after doing this all yourself (with some help) and seeing the fruition of your work. Looks amazing.

  6. I still think the sinks need to be wider near the edges. The water splash.. don’t underestimate the water splash.

  7. I started watching this video only for the cabinet building and then you left it out! Just kidding. Was quite good to see the progress you have made with the master bathroom from start to finish. I am still fascinated by your linen cupboard doors!

  8. Congrats! Is a fantastic bathroom! This will be also the house of lot of plants. In my mind, I see in all places.

  9. Just two things: that painting is really nice for the place and I wonder why there's no door for the shower, I would definitely need one to keep the vapor (therefore heat) inside and leaving the rest of the bathroom moisture free (or something).

  10. Fantastic work. I'm very jealous. That said, dual facing toilets are still there…if you don't mind using the tub 😂

  11. It is truly amazing. But one thing you might regret is that shower drain. It get extremely dirty pretty quickly and you will have to clean it each 5 days or so or else it will start stink. Also if you have hair strainer in there, it will clog pretty quick. I regret installing this shower drain. It is beautiful but not practical.
