Antique chair = snake plant crutch. These plants have lived here for the past 3 years. Yes, they were right beside the heater. No, it had no noticeable negative effect (or maybe I accept blemishes as part of plant parenthood). When the light is right, you can correctly care and spend more time enjoying your plants.
