Last year we began installing a new garden in the side of our front yard, an almost 1/8th acre garden. People thought we were crazy until we told them what we were up to. Want to Support Our Channel?

I love it. I can't wait to see it when everything wakes up in the spring. Keep posting!! I want to do more in my small front yard. To battle the Bermuda I put lots of newspaper and cardboard down then lots of wood chips when I have them. I am located in the OKC area. ๐
Awesome. Canโt wait to see it this summer!
I swear nothing makes my heart quiet as happy as stick borders on a garden walk way! Or maybe stone!!! I just love seeing natural materials used in a garden!! Now I'm itching to start my brand new garden soon, we moved to this house last fall and haven't gardened here yet. I've been watching shade and rain flow for months!!
Hello I'ma New Sub, I just Love your philosophy on homesteading. Some people just try to do too much with too little.
I have a question, with the mulch from the tree trimming company, did you have probably with it having like poison oak, or ivy mixed in. I keep trying my husband I would like to get a couple truck loads from a local tree trimming company and he says I would get with all kinds of stuff mixed in it and poison oak or ivy. What do you all to keep dogs and cats out of it. Looks super nice. I would love to something this on the farm.
What a great way to serve others.
Thanks for sharing! Your an inspiration! ๐
What is the purpose of comfrey around the fruit trees? I had planted garlic around 1, but dont dig it up, so not sure it does any good. I've got oregano around another but it crossed with something and isn't spicy like it should be now. I do have comfrey I could split, just not sure what the benefit to the tree is?
