Love This you guys rock
Who loved learning about grafting with John?
Finally part 2… with the legend… 🙂
Always a pleasure to learn from the master!
My 7 gallon loquat tree died from some uncontrollable blight after just 2 months of struggling to keep it alive. I want to try again but need to assure my garden are is ideal for it. I love that fruit so much. I have loquat seedling that I started but don’t want to wait 7 years for not so great fruit. I also did put it in a bigger pot right away.
Great job fellows. I have not ever tried this but will thanks for the info.
Thank you guys great video, john was a good vibe brother, a question i have is does that buddy tape breath, as i have had issues with my budding wood once budding starting to get rot under the tape, so i then remove the tape from the upper bud wood and in turn the sun drys out the fresh buds and the graft fails, i know the "grafting tape" i bought does not breath and is not smokey like your buddy tape, it is clear and stretchy like cling wrap, any tips on what type of budding tape is the right type?
Wooh!!!! Another collab with John 🔥🔥 Great vid👏🔥
Really great information here. Was John's recommended mango the Carrie variety? I thought it sounded like Valcarrie….maybe a variation?
Wonder how different rootstocks change the flavour and growth on the graft, is it noticeable? The theory is that they take up nutrients differently, also have heard that at least for apples early fruiting grafts make autumn ripening varieties to ripen earlier and also that graft itself may change the taste of fruits of the rootstock ant other grafts on it.
200 bucks for a variegated jaboticaba… More viable here in Jaboticabaland would be small grafted fruiting ones that I could maybe sell for 10 bucks. I bought grafted variegated kumquat for less than 3 dollars here recently. The economies are way different. Nice video with good tips!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you Family and Team. 🍻🥂🍾🥂 SoCal Johno
