  1. A storm came in last night, blessed rain but much too windy here in zone 9b, Northern California. Greens and peas, like you said, love the cold like I do.
    Damaged plants are bouncing back from a 92 year old neighbor's car that crashed into people's yards and my front yard planter and mailbox. Apricot uprooted, blackberries and artichokes will recover but the camellia in bloom may not. A 12 ft Norfolk pine is bleeding sap and $1k wil take it out but I'll wait hoping it will survive.
    Nobody got hurt, thankfully. Just my back and pocketbook. 😠
