A film about leaving Los Angeles, California.
I’ve learned to embrace my sappy side, and practice using film as a conduit for expression. An artist should wear their heart on their sleeve. If it’s a whiff, you may look cheesy and sentimental, but if you succeed, you have a real shot at moving people emotionally and inspiring them. It’s a shot worth taking. Life is short, and our world aches for less cynicism and more beauty and hopefulness. For anyone who wants to know, here’s our story of leaving our beloved California. I hope this story connects with you, leaves you hopeful, and inspires you on some level.

This film was shot on my Sony FX3 cinema camera, using the CInePrint 16 Film Emulation.

    Made me cry a bit. (Don't all storytellers want to be able to make people cry?) Our daughter is in the industry in LA and we are on the East Coast, so I guess this struck a chord with me. She is thriving and loves CA and has a wonderful band of friends. We will see where her journey goes…
