I have been experimenting with passive solar home heating. Even as is, it would give me 12 hours per day of decent warmth and night temps well above outdoor temps. Clearly survivable, especially with a sturdy mylar blanket underneath my bedding for toasty nights.
I saw an old patent that made a solar oven inserted into an exterior wall, well insulated. I am going to try this as a heat boost, especially in Jan/Feb. I have a partially underground shed for a pinch, but if I can get my small house functional, even better.

I would love to see a video, or two, on forming mutual support groups. This is the number one prep issue I personally am facing. None of my family or friends take prepping as seriously as I do and I don't like to push as this risks being alienated from the relationships I enjoy. I've tried going through red cross by attempting to form contacts with people from first aid courses. It seemed the right wingers wanted my food and then kick me out of the group. The left wingers wanted me to centrally locate everything including personal gear. There's a fine line in establishing trust/understanding but going it alone doesn't seem like a winning bet, especially in a suburban environment. I'd love to hear some practical suggestions for unlucky folks who can't really depend on neighbors and can't afford to pull stakes and move.
You are correct sir. 9 meals from anarchy. Attacks on our infrastructure are expected to increase. It's been that way since before our last president left office. Their reset insanity is in full swing. Until people wake up and fire these people in charge who are causing these problems. They are 100% man made. They could build a bunker in every house in America with a fraction of the amount they spent on our national debt. It's all planned out.

Although I'm not wealthy, I continue to purchase grocery itiems that are increasing in price so hopefully the less well off will stop buying what I can afford…more worried about availability than cost. The less well off can/will/may slide down the quality chain to the high carb stuff that I won't eat. I'm almost celebratory when I see prices go up on my basics…hoping others will stop purchasing them.

I've done all I can do to prepare for everything that's possible. Food, water filtration, weapons, hand loading supplies, precious metals…you name it? I've got it. (and thankfully I've only got myself to worry about)
The best thing about my situation is the majority of my life is in the rear view mirror! If I die tomorrow, I'll die knowing I got the best America had to offer over the course of my long life. No regrets and not much I would change.
Americans (in general) are weak sissies and deserve whats coming. The founders gave us the tool to fix almost everything in America right now. Unfortunately? They couldn't give us the backbone to use it.

Can’t help but wonder if 2023 will see increasing energy infrastructure instability due in part to infrastructure vandalism like we have seen recently in North Carolina and elsewhere. Seems the anarchists, already emboldened in recent years, may be shifting to that kind of sabotage to destabilize things. That’s basically what Russia is role modeling in Ukraine right now.

You forgot to mention the authoritarian rule coming out of Washington DC, and our wide open Southern border, and the invasion of America.

Kris, You asked me to comment on your videos. Now I will do that. I am a product of World War II, and my children are a product of the war in Vietnam. Your first concern, in this video is nuclear weapons used in Ukraine. I remember as a young guy in the early 60s, tuck And roll. Are you kidding me? There's no way that Russian is Going to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine. If they do, we will all be vaporized and some Insane scenario that I don't believe that is possible. Are we in a recession, no not yet. I am I a guy that puts up food Food recipes. But I'm also a pepper, Because content you put up is valuable. Are we in a recession right now, absolutely not. Could we become next year in a recession yes that's a possible scenario. I do like the content you put up, I think you're off base on some items on this list. But I respect your views. As far as the housing market concerned, with higher interest rates,that could become difficult in 2023. I think the best thing, that anyone can do is be prepared for whatever might happen. So in closing I appreciate your content because it is very informative.
