How to grow White Eggplant from fruit | Eggplant- Casper growing tips | Bear’s garden

White eggplants, botanically classified as Solanum melongena, are a part of the Solanaceae, or nightshade family along with potatoes, tomatoes, and peppers. Plant produces good yields of 7″ long white oval eggplants. It is sweeter and tastier than dark-skinned varieties. Best if harvested early before it starts to turn yellow.

White eggplants are slightly curved and oblong, averaging 10-17 centimeters in length. The outer skin is smooth and bright white with one bulbous end that tapers slightly to a green calyx. The cream-colored inner flesh is dense with many, edible white seeds. When cooked, White eggplants are creamy and mild with a light sweet flavor. Fruit has smooth ivory coloured skin and white flesh growing to around 16cm by 8cm. Mild mushroom like flavour and silky texture. Commonly used in stews, sauces, baked, fried, stuffed and grilled. Early maturing. Eggplant is also known as “Aubergine”.
