Homeless in America…
The average homeless person in New York City makes $90,000 a year not taxed…
The average homeless person in Colorado makes $60,000 a year not taxed…
This number of course varies from high to low depending on where you're at in the United States…
The literal only excuse to be homeless in the United States is…
1- you choose to be
2- drugs or other addiction
3- poor self control with money
4- mental issues
Physical disability doesn't count for the most part because we provide almost any means for anyone who's handicapped to get a job… The only time it makes a difference is if the person is depressed and therefore on drugs or other issues…
We have bankruptcy without consequence in America… Which means no matter how much debt you can go into, you can always have it wiped in a day…
Homelessness for the most part is a touchy subject, but it isn't fixable by the government helping them or giving money to them…
And I will refuse to help someone who is unwilling to help themselves…
And now the cost of housing isn't creating more homeless people….
There is a reason why we have 50 individually governed States with their own economies housing markets etc…
Because if you cannot afford to live in the place you are at currently, I.e living outside of your means, then you either need to pick up the pace and actually start earning more money so you can, or leave and go find a better place suited for your cost of living…
And I don't want to hear anybody crying about, "oh but this is my home I was born here…"
Because of that is not what America was based off of… It was based off of forging your own destiny and not letting anyone including yourself getting away of that…
It was about if you didn't like the way things were done you either fixed it or you left.
What is everyone think western movies are about? People who just showed up there stayed there and decide no this is my home…
No it was about pioneering and starting a new and then when you find that place you call home and your rural sanctum and your children decide they don't want to be there they have the big city to move to… And when they're children get tired of living in a condensed tuna can they move to the rural areas…
That is the evolution of America and cities as a whole…
Just the fact that there's no such thing as a homeless person starving to death in America, and no rampant targeted abuse to the homeless, just goes to show how good even the homeless get in America…
I mean for god sakes they all have cell phones, can earn more money than the average person who is employed and homed, and are also now having their actions decriminalized I.e drug use, so they're no longer being targeted as criminals in many cases in blue States…
At some point there's no longer fixing the problem or helping people, and there's just accepting the Fate…
Now the biggest part for contributor to this in my opinion is the failed public school system, more specifically k through 12, in which they do not teach students how to manage money or prepare for their future… If they would fix that then most the problems would go away

As an American who has lived on both the east and the west coast, the differences that Connor talked about are the complete opposite. So substitute east for west and vice versa when he talks and everything is correct.

Glad that Joey liked Colorado. Come on back, we've got conventions, we've got the ski resorts and hot spring and a fairly diverse population for a landlocked state.. In Denver, the light rail system makes it easier to explore the Metro area if you don't want to chance an Uber
