Everything is so lush and healthy 😍 Thanks for sharing 💜
Lovely garden. Your plants look great. I may have botched the timing for fall gardening this year but I’ll see what I get.
I’m always amazed at how neat and lovely your garden is and really enjoyed the longer video. I just finished canning green bean from my garden, not much left except tomatoes and okra. Have a wonderful week. Peace-
I'm following your channel as a gauge for whether my stuff is doing well or not. I thought I would try kale for a fall crop. I planted in mid-August and nothing has germinated so far, so clearly I'm doing something wrong. I doubt I'll make it before our first Chicago frost.
Do you have any suggestions on the best variety of kale to grow here in Chicago? Sounds like Russian kale.
Do you have any specific brands of seeds you prefer?
Also, I have a ton of question for you, so if you ever need video ideas, please let me know.
Beautiful garden! Can you share what you used to create the white square cover around your garden bed and how you access the plants? My neighbor feeds the squirrels and they destroy my garden beds and pots daily. The granular deterrent isn’t working. Thanks!
Good afternoon, the white mesh over the greens, does it keep flies and mosquitoes out
I just luv luv your garden and the videos you share! Just amazing to watch.😊👍
Still too hot here. The salad is bitter though tasty. Temperatures finally going down to 80s later this week, so will start some lettuce, kales.
Always very inspiring to see people growing vegetables in pots and containers only.
Beautiful!
This was inspiring.
Loved seeing another video. I'd really like to see how you cook your kale. I've only used it in soups, because it never wilts…
I use that wire mesh for the sides of my rabbit cages and never thought to use it for my garden. I will keep watching to see how it works for you. Cool idea.
I JUST got here….I love your garden!!!!!
Thanks for sharing, can you do session on coverings,is that tulle over your bed with pvc half circle ovc.i love the pvc pipes in shape of rectangle, good to see it in action,I had an idea in my mind what to do,what type if wire is it?I really love it,I am so excited to continue planting my cool weather crops. Your garden is beautiful.
I love how healthy your leaves are looking. Mine are so beat up looking. I tried to plant collard seeds in little starter trays for the first time. Only a few germinated and I transplanted them to my fabric pots. Within a week, they were eaten down to the veins. Not by cabbage worms, I checked thoroughly. I want to have a luscious growing container garden but I've been struggling with that the past couple of years.
Wow! Everything looks amazing!! Glad YouTube recommended you. I thoroughly enjoy everything so far. Thank you for sharing, you are so knowledgeable and I could listen to you all day. You are so pleasant. 🙏🙏🙌🏾🙌🏾
This is great!!! Your garden is beautiful and wonderful!
I love the netting, I have been looking for something. Thank you so much for sharing. You helped me so much.
Some of the shorter brassicas—have you grown these?—would be tatsoi, komatsuna (which has a very tidy, upright growth habit), and yellow heart winter choy whose Chinese nickname is "Golden Flower In The Snow," and I thought it seemed almost worth growing just for the name, alone. I know the "dinosaur" kale can get to be quite tall and looking Dr. Suess designed-like, with that long stem and the palm-frond looking top. We've got some yellow heart winter choy sown, but probably too late, and komatsuna and tatsoi; the real question will be which of the "neighborhood" critters will get into them before we can.
Can't remember ever seeing so many chipmunks as we've had this year. I just learned they're omnivorous, so I'm hoping they'll manage or reduce the slug population….just enough, you know….😉
XOXO
What’s your growing zone. Your garden is beautiful I just found your channel, I can learn from you! New subscriber here lol!
😊 I love seeing urban gardens. I think every house should have them.
One thing I would caution ⛔️ towards are using the blue buckets / containers from Lowe’s/ Home Depot. They become very brittle when exposed to hot or cold weather. They are really only good for 1-2 years. I would suggest using the livestock feed buckets or water troughs from a farm supply store Ike “ tractor supply, mills fleet farm, etc “ they are either very thick plastic or metal. They are very reasonably priced and will withstand all kinds of weather.
As for the moths you can use Neem oil mixed with salt water.
The tomato plant will do better ( produce better ) if you trim off the suckers. They I turn can be replanted and become additional plants.
I wish you well with your garden and your channel.
Your container garden is so well organized & the plants look super healthy! I love love how you combined the plants. What a beautiful space!!!💜🌱
