With winter approaching, Fox Squirrels (Sciurus niger) fatten themselves up in the Japanese Garden at Hermann Park, in Houston, TX, USA. The Squirrels in this video forage or beg for food, eating all they can, from grass to mushrooms to nuts. The extra fat they carry will keep them warm and serve as a store of calories when food is scarce. Even while quite plump, the Squirrels still seem to move quite nimbly.
