Photography lesson: Bad lighting, bad technique = a great shot. -Wait, what?! Our own @jmtguy (art director, photographer) intentionally overexposed this beautiful cactus (Trichocereus grandiflorus) which yielded a result quite different than technically getting it right. Rather than being boxed in and having perfect color, the natural fade to white in the background allows the foreground (the cactus) to look as if it were coming out of the image.
