I live in London…..and come Christmas we strap a light to virtually everything.
I can highly recommend Winter Wonderland. We go every year. It’s a little expensive but worth treating yourself.
I used to go every year with my best friend, until he passed away suddenly in 2019. I now track along with his sister and other close friends. And each year we raise a toast in his memory.
Kew is stunning. Though if it’s cold, wrap up. It’s a long walk. I did it 5 weeks after having covid. Was hard work, but loved every minute.
Tip. If you’re going to Harry Potter, get the fast train from Euston. The film studios are actually in Hertfordshire, so the slow train takes forever.
Oxford Street and Regent Street lights, can get a fabulous view on the first few rows upstairs on a double decker bus. However, buses can be busy, so pot luck if there are seats.
Another place I’d recommend is The Coal Drops Yard at Kings Cross.
Be warned though. Everywhere is busy. Oh. And stand on the right of the escalators. Or you’ll suffer the wrath of commuters. 😎
You definitely don’t need a car. You need an Oyster card. This gets you on the tube, bus and most trains.
I am a Christmas NUT! I love everything about Christmas! The lights were absolutely stunning!! A beautiful tour of Christmas in London!
I have no idea who this Brett lad is but that was a beautiful intro for him 🙂👍
https://youtu.be/V5BSNVaRrRg Take a look at Anglesey North Wales ❤❤🏴
I lost my mom on Christmas Day 2017. She would have loved this video as well and she liked the vintage decorations as well.😢
Yes, don’t hire a car in London, you won’t get to places any faster, you’ll probably get lost and parking costs an arm and a leg !
I love Christmas time in London and tend to go out a lot and walk around the christmas markets with all the sparkling lights everywhere and places like Oxford Street although it is busy at that time but i just love the atmosphere of it all,I must say i got a bit emotional when you mentioned your mother regarding leadenhall Market and seeing you was upset,i really hope that you do find your christmas spirit at some point in the near future 🙏,love to you both💖 and also happy belated birthday to Brett 🍻🥂🍾
Do you need a car in London?
Depends where you stay, which depends on your budget. If you’re within walking distance of an Underground station (we call it the Tube), then you don’t need a car. The more central you are in the city, be it the West End, The City, Shoreditch etc. then you won’t need a car.
If you’re happy to get a bus to a tube station, then you don’t need a car. Or perhaps you’re happy to walk a long distance to a tube station.
London is vast. Many people can’t afford to live in the aforementioned places, so commute in. Most are able to walk or bus to a tube station, so for going to work, or out for drinks, don’t need a car. They do need a car for going shopping, taking the kids to school, running errands etc. as most people live in the suburbs, not central London, unless mega rich.
So don’t be under the misconception that most Londoners don’t have a car, as most do. They just don’t take them to work.
If you’re staying fairly central-ish, which I imagine as tourists you would do, then you wouldn’t need a car. I would suggest (without any statistics to back up my claim), that 99% of tourists on holiday to London do not hire a car.
Get yourself an Oyster card. This is your ticket to bus, tube, most trains and trams (although very few trams still about – mainly in a Croydon – avoid this as a tourist). Look up videos on Oyster cards and the underground (tube) layout to familiarise yourself.
Also, Uber is rife in London. You’ll always be able to get an Uber, so perhaps see if you can get Uber London on your phone.
As a last resort, are black cabs. They are very expensive and an absolute tourist trap. I’m sure many black cab drivers will not like me saying so, but they are a dying trade. They are very skilled in their knowledge of routes (“The Knowledge” being the test drivers have to pass, which involves learning EVERY route and road in London, which is extremely impressive), but they price themselves out of the market. In the age of GPS and Uber, they are well behind the times. So perhaps go in one to experience it, they are, after all part of the charm of London, but I wouldn’t make this my first choice.
I wouldn’t recommend living with someone from London. Part of the charm is discovering the place for yourselves. The people that live here are desensitised to it. It’s fun just getting lost, roaming around, finding places for yourselves and stumbling across little known gems along the way. If you rely on people that you’re staying with, it will dilute the experience.
Hope this helps.
Disgusting filthy sinners, your gonna burn in hell for being in this sinful relationship.
Just want to thanks for your continued brilliant reactions. I was having a terrible morning, took 5 mins out to decompress by watching this, and I’m feeling happy again. Thanks for being my therapy ladies 🥰
Seven Dials is one of my favourite areas of central London, both at Christmas and in summer. 🎄❤️
No need for an Oyster card anymore, you can tap a credit card or smart phone with Apple Pay/Google Pay
I’m from Chicago and am in London now. I think it’s the best city in the world. That being said be aware that some areas are extremely crowded. Worth it though.
If you won't to see more Xmas decoration in shop see Hannah Ricketts and hear her precise English. Also when talking about Leaden Hall market I was expecting to heard something about Harry Potter, I thought neither of you had seen it. Then Debbie admitted that she had watched the Sorcerer's Stone. Leaden hall was the first entrance to Diagon Alley.
do not rent a car buy a oyster card and travel round London
Supermarkets in the UK put together cheese and charcuterie boards for Christmas, but it's nicer to go to a deli where you can sample different cheeses and make up your own, as well as salami and pate, etc for a charcuterie board. Don't forget pickles and crackers. Aldi do very good ready-made boards. Yum.
I lost my mum this September and so as someone who has traditionally loved Christmas, I share your shared lack of festive enthusiasm after such an unthinkable loss.
I’m not sure if you’ve already done a video on this but it would be really nice to see what you guys thinks of are Christmas tv ads and how they compare to yours.
Also just wondered if you guys plan to / or have considered visiting the uk?
The haunted house looks more comical than scary
Girls there's a documentary on YouTube called The Story Of Band Aid (2004). it's amazing and a perfect Christmas thing to watch. Also it would be perfect for a reaction video!!!!!!
Happy birthday Brett
Try looking at the Christmas adverts from John Lewis and sainsburys ladies x
I used to spend half my time working in London. Often thought of staying over Christmas but never got around to it.
When you come to London make sure you bring loads of spending money because it’s not cheap
It’s New York prices
Another fantastic video by you 2 amazing ladies. Christmas in London is amazing never been but will go for a visit soon I'm sure. Kew Gardens always have an amazing display every year.

My neck of the woods,Manchester Christmas market 2022 . There is another video but it's over an hour long
Real Christmas up North duck
I know something that might help…. In Cinncinati, where you are, there is a proper german christmas market, for the first time in quite a while. Admittedly, there is a cover charge (but I don't think it will be too onerous!), but I think that will be right up your street. And there will be other youtubers there…….😉
Definetly don't use a car in london except a London black cab taxi
This Brish lady enjoys your reactions, and you are always so positive and pleasant!
There’s a charge to drive in central Lomdon. It’s almost impossible to get around London by car!

Christmas in uk ie London is amazing, I live in the 2nd city in the uk Birmingham, and we do have an amazing German Christmas market which is very big. Other cities like Manchester have brilliant festive markets as well xxx
London is a big place. Go into most of Greater London, and you'll see a few lights and not much else.
Hello pretty ladies. Please forgive me. I was an early subscriber of your channel but I unsubbed along with all my other subs cos I was in a bad place in life. I then lost my internet soon after. Anyhoo…..I've recently gotten back on line & have always remembered you both from a year or so ago. Me thinks the mysterious web knew you were on me mind as your channel quickly popped back up on my recommendations. I've now resubscribed to you & have been enjoying catching up on your past streams. Just finished watching your take on A LDN Christmas. Being an X Londoner it was a nostalgic childhood trip. Really enjoyed it. You both look great by the way. I've missed you! If you're interested in sampling some festive treats I can have a wee chat with the Christmas elf who lives at the bottom of my courtyard & I'm sure she'll rustle up something tasty for you both to try. Natasha….I do hope this year's festivities stir your inner child sugar plum fairy memories. You're so lucky to have Debbie by your side…she's a doll! & Remember mums never too far away. I've not forgotten your personal story on your mummy's passing. So glad you're back in me life. Big warm hugs from "G"…..Glastonbury, Somerset 🏳️🌈🎄🇺🇸🎄🇬🇧
