From Fire to Farm – Beeline Blooms farm is the story of rising from the ashes of the CZU complex fire in Santa Cruz County, California to become an incredibly powerful and successful dahlia farm.

In the midst of darkness, the idea for Beeline Blooms Farm came to be just one year ago. A love project as Karla DeLong calls it, this dahlia farm is so much more than the beautiful flowers grown. It’s a symbol of hope. It’s a place to gather and feel at home. It is a reminder that from darkness light can shine once more. And it is taken care of by a brilliant farmer & beekeeper that gives you so many tips and advice in a short film, have a pen and paper on hand.

After converting our Santa Cruz, CA home into an urban homestead, the dream to build our own regenerative farm became too strong to ignore. We’ve decided to give away our belongings and hit the road, traveling by van in search of where we will build our future regenerative farm.

Along the way, we’re interviewing regenerative farmers and immersing ourselves in communities. And as always, a mountain peak or two may call us to climb it.

    I can match the indoor bee hive I've got an indoor squirrel nest. I didn't even have to build it the squirrels did it for me. You said you were planting garlic, do you guys still own the place in Santa Cruz?
