Everyone needs organza bags for their garden! 🙌🌱
⠀⠀⠀
They’re see through, lightweight and cheap to buy in bulk. They come in a wide range of sizes (I have a few different ones just in case!) and their drawstring makes them incredibly easy to use so long as you don’t pull too tight and damage the stem.
⠀⠀⠀
I pop them on when the fruit or vegetable is just forming to start protecting early on. I mainly use them for my cauliflowers, strawberries, raspberries, sweet peppers and even saved some small squash from 🐌 last year.
⠀⠀⠀
They’re really useful for saving seeds too! One of my neighbours puts them over poppy seed heads to stop them self seeding everywhere!
⠀⠀⠀
I do have nets over my broccoli and cauliflowers to stop cabbage white butterflies laying eggs on the leaves as caterpillars will quickly decimate a plant! However some smaller bugs can still get underneath (slugs, white fly etc!) so this just ensures less protein in my dinner 😅
⠀⠀⠀
Do you do this in your garden?!
