You have a good point. I think the issues are:
1. People finacr cars as a need but uses extra cash for wants on home improvements.
2. Landscape work cost a lot even if the house does not.
I bought my house a long time ago for 94K. The idea of putting half of what i paid back into the outdoor living is difficult. I would outspend my neighborhood value. You may say, you don't need to spend 40k but with my yard size and pool area it would not be far off. But i am just a regual guy with a regular guy house. Now to be fair, i will not spend more than 30 on a car, truck, motorcyle or RV.
