This tiny house breaks all the rules in the most brilliant ways. Absolutely filled with tiny house taboos, this home is nothing short of spectacular.
Designed by owners Samara and James in collaboration with Samara’s father, famed house designer Frank Macchia, this home is an absolute masterpiece.
It’s separated into three different units, a bathroom, kitchen-dining and bedroom each with a modicum of separation which provides connection to the outdoors.
All zones of the home are connected with a living ritual, be it that of cooking, eating, sleeping or washing. Every space is intentional and well thought out.
When visiting this home, the word that came to mind to describe it was elemental. Solid, earthy materials are used in both the homes construction and the surrounding landscaping which help to further connect the house to the earth which surrounds it.
Beyond the tiny house itself, Samara and James live on a property together with extended family, bringing together the best elements of multigenerational living and showing why this is a concept that should no longer be shunned by the west.

I’ve fallen in love with this home. It’s taught me a lot about intentional design and the beauty in breaking the rules. I hope you find as much value in this tiny house tour as I did.

This tiny house breaks all convention and the result is simply awesome. Samara and James are building the most beautiful lives for themselves. They have constructed a home which enables them to live intentionally and thanks to its small size, the tiny house has created space for them to be able to build their business and grow in the world. Again, the connection to family in this home is also really special. Not all are blessed with close families but for those that are, I would love to see multigenerational living more normalised in the west. I'd love to hear your thoughts about this home. Thanks for watching. With Love, Bryce & Rasa
Ah…the post-modern Adam's Family…nice. Wednesday is all grown up
serious garden envy going on rn 🪴🌱🌳
This is absolutely stunning. The kitchen is gorgeous. Everything in it appeals to me as an artist.😍 I entirely echo your sentiment, Bryce, it's a masterpiece. Thank you so much for posting it.❤
What a beautiful place!…I just love the dark and light with the contrast colors. Cozy and comfortable! Hats off to your father!
Is it cold in the winter? Having all those open parts? Very very interesting house
Worst tiny house I've seen. Like a tomb.
My favorite out of them all tinies
This is not one of my favorites. It's unique and fits their lifestyle and interesting to see. But, it is not designed at all for any kind of interactions between other people. I would have to have a living room area, even just a small one. Basically they only have a bathroom, a cubby hole for a bedroom and a kitchen. It is very intimate, but, not conducive to family or friends at all. But, that is the beauty of tiny house design because your tiny home should be designed around what you like for your lifestyle.
This is a big wow!💜
These are the types of series we dont see anymore. I wasnt watching Minecraft ten years ago so I missed out on like Ethos lets play series and others like it. I feel like this is a series a lot of people can get attached to.
Black always shows off plants beautifully. Not the fan of he house, however idea of all black house and outside furniture does look appealing.and outside furniture
Beautiful all of it, ❤️
❤
gözlerini bozar be burası insanın
It legit looks like a prison. Nothing cosy or inviting about it. No living area? What now? They must spend all day in the parents’ house and just sleep in there.
It would be interesting to hear how they negotiated council approval for so many livable dwellings on one property. Obviously different guidelines for different areas but an example would be helpful.
the thing i take away from this is have relitives that are loaded to have a tiny house.
I wonder if, it's not just the black siding but all the plants and kinds of that gives it the Asian feel😊. The inside is too dark for my taste but clearly works for them😊. Well done!
"Oh this is just lovely." How I'd like a dollar for each time I hear Bryce say that.
I came for the home but stayed for for the food, which looks delicious. Seriously though, this design is amazing and I'm sure someone is going to say it's too dark, but I'm sure when they chose to go dark, they were designing for themselves as they should. There's a saying "Those that mind, don't matter and those that matter don't mind", which is definitely the case when designing "Your" space. I'm planning to buy land in hopes that my children and grandchildren can all live on the land with me in small houses. Also, this is such a lovely couple!
The father was a genius because he designed privacy for this couple But it is more like a dark cave And if they needed light, they had to leave the cave and return to share the family
Wow …. It’s very different but I love it love the idea of families sharing same land we build such big houses on our land where we could be solving a lot of social Issues by
This is one of the best homes ever.
Wow,
one of my favorite design 💚🙌
Just the best!! Wabi Sabi!! I have that book too!! Dark, womb-like comfort and authentic simplicity. Beautiful!
what's that transparent wrap they are eating?
Sorry, I don't like it. Too much dark.
Nice but to dark
mention families that are unfortunately discordant. Their home is lovely also.
I didn’t understand the dark until they likened it to a cave. I really love it and would like to try living in a dark space. It seems comforting and cosy. I do wonder how they go with the shower when it’s cold.
Not so tiny though.
Poor man she does not stop chatting, not even for politeness.
What a deppresing place to live!!! :´(
This home is the faithful reflection of the owners. Zen in many aspects, especially since each space has its purpose defined. Even though you find the color black everywhere, it is very stylish. A very original home.
too dark for me, but have lovely and beautiful plants
