Someone may have already suggested this, but have the lights on the Hartley on a separate power source, that allows you to turn them off after a couple hours… exposing just the chandelier and tree inside for the remaining few hours. You will be able to see both scenarios from the house each evening. 🙂
I found for great inside cameras is a Lumix Panasonic camera.
Laura did I hear an admission of planti-cide? followed by meh? I'm the same way with house plants 😆. I love the warmth and life they bring to a room. Unlike outside plants, which are finite, house plants need care forever. Plus, the growth is gradual whereas outside it's quicker gratification .
Nice
What is a phone melter?
How about ornamental peppers.
Love the inside of your home. It feels like a hug. "Museum" houses are cold & sterile looking to me. My home is what I call 'curated'. Good quality older furniture that has come from family over many years. Kind of like your antique shopping.
Who's Garden Nancy?? I never heard the answer to that??
Calendar please.
Put the tree up in the Hartley and then unplug the outside white lights and see what you think with just the tree.
The gardems should be called (east) portico garden; (north) portaterre garden; (west) promendade garden; (south) pasture garden.
Garden Nancy, omg that was so funny! and just like a man half listening 🙂
Maybe put old fashion big multiple colored lights on a Christmas tree in the Hartley. I love all your Sunday videos.😊
I think you don’t put granulated fertiliser in inside plants because there is no soil life to break it down. Outside we have worms etc, you don’t have it inside. I could be wrong, I’m hoping a scientist will know. I had also heard from the rusted garden I think, that ornamental peppers or things sold like that were given a type of pesticide that is not safe to eat for humans. Thanks! Vicki🌸😊
Take the lights💡off!
Love your vlogs!
I planted 370 bulbs in 8 pots last fall using Bio Tone and some lovely compost but didn't realize our very wet spring and naughty chipmunks/mice/squirrels 😜 would eat the ones that didn't rot from the rains. I should have covered them! 😏
I still think your house is the perfect project for This Old House. Marrying a 1900s farm house with a 1980s poor edition and turning it into a colonial!?!? Sounds like a This Old House dream project.
Your potager is your potager, e.g. your raised bed "kitchen garden" located across the driveway from the chicken coop.
Thank you for your little "realism chat" at the end…:) so good for you you keep balance and not put pressure on your selves and get burnt out. We appreciate all you do! Also was so glad to see small recap at beginning of putting leaves on garden beds. I had just re watched that video and was wondering about the watering 🙂
Yea! I am looking forward to the Garden center open house. Love the recap, as always. We all have things we want you to do or show but you have to follow you own path so ignore the negativity and do what feels right for you. Thank you for all these years of fun and peace I have had watching Garden Answer.
REQUEST…Laura and Aaron, as a gardener I can appreciate the separation between GARDEN WORK and the LOVE of GARDENING. I've been watching your garden videos about 10 years now and have transformed my 1/2 acre suburban lot into my own GARDEN OASIS. Laura, you have taught me so much, not only about plants but how to garden for the enjoyment. My request is that you keep your videos genuine to your love of gardening and only film the projects that you feel inspired to share with us. Your enthusiasm shows in your videos and is much appreciated. Hugs to you all.😊
Yes, I’m in Minnesota (zone 4) and ALL the concrete is removed and stored inside. It’s just another step in putting the garden to bed in the fall for me.
You seriously may have planes looking to land at your place, the lights will be so bright!!!!🤣
It would be so sad not to see the bulbs! Even drone footage would be great! Plus, it wouldn't bother us to see everything not perfect because that happens to all of us!
I agree with Laura, filming inside their home takes away a little more privacy away from their lives.
I made the mistake of using bulbtone on my Amaryllis one year. My house smelled like a herd of cattle came through😆
So can we Garden Nancy merch?
Hey. I live in zone 3 and we get 2-3 week stretches of -25C. We haven't had to move our concrete pots in. We too are very dry and we get Chinook winds which warm the temperatures up to 0C. That's our story.
LOL!!! Had to stop in the middle of your video.. when you were talking about the foam melter.. I thought you were saying 'phone melter'…and I couldn't imagine what or when you would need something to melt your phone!!! Ok, back to the video!!
Laura, your throat sounds a little scratchy. Hope you aren’t getting sick.
You’re lucky on the Terre cotta, I’m 7A, extreme south Jersey and Terre cotta has to be moved in and our bird bath has to be turned upside down to prevent breakage.
I love the rendering of your house, that’s Perfect!!!
I agree with you Laura on the lights on the Hartley. It looks beautiful, but the inside would glow better without the lights on the greenhouse itself. ❤
Yay! Garden Nancy made it on the
Highlights Channel!
But the 1919 is already a great style. There isn't any reason to try and make it something is is not.
