For one month I foraged 100% of my food. No grocery stores, no restaurants and not even a garden!
Every. Single. Bite.
Nature was my garden, my pantry and my pharmacy.
Now I’m here to share the story with you and help YOU reconnect with Earth and gain food freedom!
The 9 days of preparation began August 29th, 2022. The month of eating 100% foraged food was September 9th – October 9th (late summer and early fall).

It’s the dream of millions. To “live off the land” and never have to take a trip to the grocery store. And through the pandemic more and more Americans have experienced the instability of our food system and desire to break free.
But is it possible to break free? I am here to show that it is.

Way to walk the talk Rob! I am eating some Collards that grew on my 3 y/o plants…
Rob, you look so happy! Thank you so much for sharing your accomplishments and journey! And for teaching us!
Great video!
sik 4k.
Wow 🤩
I would love to attend educational wild edible plant classes. Im sad that my city has no fruit trees anywhere…. ahh making oil from the local nuts!!! It is fun to eat a weed infront of a city person when u know its so darn good!!! Maybe make a per region version of this accross the USA, just with out the meat n fish part.
hi rob. i like your channel, hence i am subscribed. i just have to say – i don't understand why you lie about things like this. you can spread the message, without deceiving people. i don't understand.
❤️
You have such an incredible story to tell!
Hey, have you thought of using a rocket stove to cook your food? I thought you might think it would be cool to try along your path:)
I’d love to break free but feel trapped by the system
1 year is crazy!!!
I would love to know if olive oil and other vegetable oils would meet your needs for fat and would chook eggs meet those needs ..
Are you familiar with the book The Moneyless Man? Thoughts? So you used electricity etc for your preservation?
Did you render any of the tallow from the deer? Some have very little but some have quite a bit closer to winter. Could have helped with the Fat. Much Love.
Amen brother! I do forage some but I have the peace of mind of not being dependent on the system by knowing every weed, animal and bug I can eat around my house. I keep alcohol, jars and droppers handy for making my meds
If you do a year, then do it in one ecosystem, and cover how you’re preserving foods without electricity. That would be most useful to your viewership.

Great job. I think that learning to fast corretly rationaly, And gradualy, trying to be without food, is one key of changing the habit
🙂
AWESOME Rob,my grandma used to take me in the woods and marshlands in LOUISIANA to Forage Wild Foods.
Monica Wilde did the same for a year in Scotland. She has a book about it called 'The Wilderness Cure'.
Thank you Rob for helping everyone! Yes, "I Foraged 100% of My Food for a YEAR!" that's the video I want to see next year!! 💚🍏🍏🍏💚💚
wonderful brother
It was so great getting to meet you in Philadelphia, Rob! You’ve inspired me to dive even deeper and made me more confident in my own knowledge – I can tell it’s having a ripple effect onto others! Safe travels!
Well, I love your work. I want to make one suggestion that you also include things generally which also can be grown in any country so we can also try to do it not only in specific areas or regions.
Great video! Glad I watched. You’re inspiring me to get back into foraging much more again, I’ve been a bit disconnected for several years now.
If you could homestead how would you homestead?
Dear Friends!
Are you inspired and encouraged to begin foraging and reconnect with Earth? Or to start foraging more than you are now?

Human energy put into war redirected towards encouraging proliferation of the natural environment equals the revolution this man so wisely speaks about. Way to go Rob!
I thought that I was the only one who was looking for that autonomy, I am a continuous walker of that external and internal freedom. Thanks for sharing your content. Pensé que yo era la única que buscaba esa autonomía, soy una caminante continúa de esa libertad externa e interna. Gracias por compartir tu contenido.
Rob, thank you SO much for your generosity of energy, knowledge, and enthusiasm! I am jumping up and down right now, having discovered this video this morning! I will check out the links and resources and pass this on to others. Food sovereignty is critical. You are doing great work. The joyful and humble delivery of this info is infectious. I think you changed my life today. ❤ I have always loved foraging and been drawn to it. Have some basic knowledge and incorporate wild foods when I can. But very superficially. You just inspired me to go deeper and go for more connection. I want to know more and have true skills in this. Thank you for reminding me that I can!
