June Campbell recorded another aide hitting and slapping an Alzheimer’s resident. State regulators cited the facility for not reporting it to law enforcement.

  7. Looks like a hate crime of some sort. Hope the brut landed in jail and of course lost her job. And what's with woman just talking and film. Makes my skin crawl.

  8. There is no context, we have to remember healthcare workers are people too and from the looks of it grandma didn't want any help but clearly needs it. You must acknowledge that most elderly patients are extremely combative and very inappropriate they are confused and scared and then as a result violent. She is trying to restrain this woman and it's being met with resistance hence the frustration

  9. Years ago when I was naive I would have being upset

I proudly firmly say I can't he any happier their non eternal torment one way or another

  10. Ten years ago I found my mother being pinned against a wall by two "carers" at Methodist Homes Association (MHA) in Coventry, England. Consequently I was chastised for being in a restricted area. Then they told Coventry social services that I had an "unnaturally close" relationship with Mum because I'd been seen holding her close whilst dancing with her and that I'd also been seen (on another occasion) kissing her on the lips. (I only found this out by going to court for copies of the records, otherwise it would have been kept secret between MHA and social services.) I was holding her close to stop her from falling over because they'd taken her special orthopaedic shoes away and she had trouble standing without them. Having been born in 1950's Manchester I was brought up being kissed on the mouth by Mum and all my Aunties. I always hated it but learned to reciprocate for their benefit, not mine. Elder abuse is common in these place – especially dementia units like Mum was in – so if your parents end up in one please visit often, keep your eyes open, talk to the other visitors and listen to what your folks are telling you.

  13. Gosh I don’t even know what to say . I’m 33 years old and believe I will have Alzheimer’s because I can be talking to someone and literally forget what I’m saying and it happens very often . Reading the comments about people with Alzheimer’s are hard to deal with has me thinking alot of them get treated bad ….. I’m disgusted watching this . What if that was happening to her mom
?? He face should be blasted all over social media . That was just super low and way uncalled for …… I just want to ask her why ? Why she felt she had to resort to that type of behavior ? She really needs
Help if she needed to resort to that type of behavior
