Jon, it would be interesting if you could produce a video about the different techniques to be used to avoid "slipping" of the components when you want to assemble them using pocket screws.

A nice project resulting in a lovely desk. Your joinery/assembly choices seemed very sturdy to me–the desk should give decades of service, even if placed in a rough-and-tumble student dorm environment.
A salesman once told me that 100 different cabinetshops will make 100 different cabinets. This is why I enjoyed self-education and mastery of 5 trades. I began as a fine woodworker, but turned down the offer by Fine Woodworking to do videos back in the day.
Glad to see someone like you, John, teaching in the manner you do. People with ideas need someone who can deliver their custom dreams. This was the purpose for the American Craft. Otherwise we would be a factory world of bots. 😁

Folks, think of it this way: he doesn’t move the drawer backs forward; he adds tabs to the sides of the drawers.
