I compared prices on 60 Walmart food items in November 2022 to prices filmed in the summer of 2021 to find out how high food inflation REALLY is!

  1. 4.44 for a can of tuna oh my word,my can of tuna is about 60pence,ive seen your prices are 3 fold more than ours in britain,a loaf of bread here is about 1.10.your bread is 3 times as much,no offence but living in us is so much money, anyway all that to one side, ive been with you for so long,i just wanna say that i love you all and thank you for your channel x

  2. That was very interesting. Good to see that there are still some deals. We just have to have the time to look for them.

  3. The prices came down because of the mid-term elections. In Sept of this year potatoes were 8.77 for a 4lb bag ! Now you can get them for way cheaper, 2.88.
I've seen pineapple 🍍 as high as 4.99 each. I'm expecting prices to start creeping back up soon. I'm also hearing that eggs and milk prices are going to go thru the roof because of bird flu. What that has to do with milk is beyond me but that's the scuttlebutt I'm hearing.

  4. Well chicken feed has gone way up and bedding and meds. If you paid what fresh eggs really cost they would be well over $7 a dz.

  5. Walmart has always set the prices that they would sell their stuff for. I watched a documentary about them. Sickening how they treat them. I on the other hand think companies have said I can sell my stuff to C or s grocery stores and get the amount we should have gotten and are doing just that and that is why Walmart shelves look more empty than other chain stores. Just a thought to ponder.

  6. It's the same here in the UK with inflation and shrinkflation. Every time I do the "big shop" it's more expensive than the last 😳😳😳

  7. i think you showed a very good variety of items, actually. thank you for the price comparisons, and the efforts put in to share the info with us here. much appreciated!some prices up here "seem" ok at first, too, if not checking out the increase percentage-wise. other prices much more obvious in their climb… or is that skyrocket… 🤔
anyway, thanks for sharing. do take care. 🙂

  8. The fresh produce is hard to compare on prices due to growing seasons. The canned foods are absolutely ridiculous and dairy too. I think across the board we are 20-30% higher on average with the grocery bill.

  9. I think some things are expensive due to the holidays coming up, but this was an eye opener for sure. Thank you

  10. This is where the system fails. It's a flexible market but you don't have infinite growth in profits in a flexible monetary system.
    System is sick and broken.

  11. I can't even get cat food. Walmart's box of 4 dozen eggs has gone from $3.79 two years ago to $16.95 last month. This month they are down to $14.65, still more than I am going to pay for eggs.

  12. Who buys rotisserie chicken, cook it yourself! Bagged salads also cost one hell of a lot more, make it yourself and stop being lazy! I have rarely seen Americans on YouTube make a cake, that didn't come out of a box, or a pudding that didn't have jello stamped on it. Back to basics!

  13. First, prices are didn’t in different cities, counties and states. Second, you’re comparing to June of last year to November of this year. The seasons definitely play a role in the prices.

  14. With a little homework and changing some brands I was able to keep prices almost the same. Aldi and lidl often have some lead in sales. And of course growing some in our own garden helps.

  15. Prices of groceries ever by county and state you live in. the some with rent ever by county and you live in.

  16. All prices have went up in Iowa. I try to buy sale items and shop Aldi but their prices have went up too.

  17. Thank you for showing these differences. I realize these are different seasons, but the prices really are getting scary out there!
